Change of Plans - Mila Rossi Wow, I am batting a thousand on less then stellar books today!

This book started off interesting. A 25 year old virgin goes to an office party to loose her virginity, now I am not to sure why she chooses an office party? Seems a bar or club would be a better option, but hey, what do I know?? She meets Jason, they go to his hotel room, sexy times commence. He finds out she is a virgin, and pulls the classic "dick move" and gets mad, stopping the sexy times. Alas he can't seem to stay away from her and the story plays out.

OK, so first of all I disliked Sarah, she was just so robotic in every interaction, no emotion towards this guy, no longing for him. She was basically written like a dude in this story. She dumps him, well more like ends "things" with him. They really have no relationship other then partial sex, and one complete sex act. They never go out on a single date, or really spend any time together. I have no clue why Jason was remotely hung up on her??

This brings us to the insanely abrupt ending. It's not a cliffhanger, but with a very few pages left, and they were still broken up, I was beginning to get worried. I mean Sarah didn't even act like she missed him or anything?? Then BAM, her friend brings her to Jason's place, he has a romantic dinner waiting, and he says he'll wait until she finishes her studies to give this a chance if she wants the same, they agree.

I was like WTF? That's it?? Blah...don't waste your time on this one!!

Sara Greaves went to Vegas on a whim.  The wedding she has planned forever has been cancelled.  Her fiance did not want her.  She meets Ethan Monroe in a pawn shop.  She needs money and is thinking she should pawn her engagement ring for the money she needs.

 

Ethan shows her a whole other side to the fun in Las Vegas.  He sees her need for companionship, friendship, and even protection.  He also cannot help but be attracted to her right off.  She is sweet and yet so very hot.

 

Sara needs some "me" time.  She is also learning that her horrible ex-fiance was a user and a control freak.  She is learning to let loose in Vegas with a bit of help from Ethan.  Her confidence is coming back.

 

Then one night they get drunk and there are consequences they must discuss.  She moves with him to his home on Los Angeles, for 30 days to figure out her future.  Sara also gains clients for her lingerie business there.

 

The story unfolds with me thinking one thing will happen and I was happily surprised it didn't.  The Ethan character is a strong, good man.  I loved the banter and the good time they seemed to have together.  Sexy times in here were also nice and spicy and worth the read.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

From the moment Ethan meets Sara he appoints himself her protector. There is just something so sweet about that to me. Sara is in a strange city trying to escape the heartache and pain she left behind and encounters her own personal bodyguard. That chance meeting sends these complete strangers on a collision course to love. Although the story is unrealistic and ended too soon. I enjoyed the journey. A Change of Plans is a fun escape that I didn't want to end.
