This dangerously thrilling and adventurous read keeps readers glued to the pages and hanging on to the edge of their seats with lots of exciting action and intriguing suspense. The fast paced and smooth flowing plot never has a dull moment as Maya and Adam pursue the really bad vampires that kidnapped Adam’s niece and they come across werewolves that out for blood and chameleons determined to guard the vampires’ lair.

 

This exciting read has it all, explosive battles, an adventurous journey, mean and bad demons, red hot passion, sizzling chemistry and two very strong and charismatic characters that really charm and delight readers with their story. The relationship between Maya and Adam is quite volatile with lots of attitude and electrical sparks that fly from the pages as they try to work out their differences, despite the secrets and tangled emotions that they each have.

 

A well developed and fascinating world with a variety of bold supernatural characters that has lots of attitude that readers can practically feel leaping from the pages, especially since the author painted such vivid images that readers can easily imagine each and every scene as they become caught up story that has an overall enthusiastic feel that readers can appreciate.

At the start of their marriage Marsh Rutherford made a mistake, now his marriage is in trouble and he must find a solution because losing her isn’t an option in this transfixing paranormal romance.

 

A new opportunity presents itself and a fresh start for his family seems to be in reach and the readers can’t help but become mesmerized by this second chance romance that is threatened by secrets. There’s no denying Marsh and Caroline’s love for each other or the chemistry that sizzles between them but secrets and the situation play havoc with their relationship causing some extreme emotional distress which grips readers by the heart and has them empathizing with these strong, bewitching characters and  their situation which is complicated by their children. This fast paced and smooth flowing plot draws readers in and refuses to let go and it’s full of suspense, excitement and romance.

 

Expectation grabs readers in its thrall from the get go as they wonder just what kind of solution Marsh will find and will he find it in time to salvage his marriage with additional suspense and excitement involving the secret Marsh has and some dangerous excitement spicing things up regarding cattle rustlers. The story holds readers captive with an expectant air and emotional turbulence that the readers can feel flowing from the pages and let me just say that it certainly had me holding my breath and wanting to step in and knock a few heads together and help Marsh out.

 

Another great story in the Middlemarch Shifters series, this one brings a whole new perspective introduces new characters and new scenery for readers to enjoy and the cute and precocious child in this story added quite a few surprises and a few chuckles to my delight…I can’t wait for my next visit.

He’s always attracted women with ease, but lately feline shifter Leo Mitchell only craves some hot, sinful lovin’ with the lady in black leather hanging around Middlemarch in this delicious paranormal romance.

 

She’s had a huge crush on hunky Leo for ages, but the timing sucks so assassin Isabella Black has watched him from afar and the readers can’t help but become caught in the waves of heat and excitement when this couple finally meets. The scorching chemistry threatens a heat wave of epic proportions but the relationship has one major chill against it – Isabella has a huge secret that will destroy the Mitchells which has a bit of emotional confusion happening. The characters are strong, compelling and grab readers’ attentions right from the start while the well written, fast paced and smooth flowing plot excites readers with lots of suspense, excitement and romance as the intriguing events hold the readers hostage and adrenaline pumping excitement builds as another assassin threatens Leo and Isabella’s happiness. 

 

I have to say that I loved Isabella’s character and her shifter side is sooooo cool, refreshingly different and spices thing up quite a bit and of course, Leo is one hot and hunky feline, so I sure couldn’t put this story down until I had read every last word.

There's an awful lot going on in this particular collection, and not all of it worked for me. Rick Jones? Meh. Chameleons? Meh. That said, Kitty's storyline is handled very well. I suppose this reflects things going on elsewhere in the Ultimate verse. Poor Kitty, I just felt heartbroken for her. (And even more angry at Xavier for having kicked her out of his school in the first place, but that's basically a settled issue.)

Now the art... At first, I had really disliked Bagley's art. Been looking forward to when he'd leave the book, in fact. But if I'd known I'd be getting Lafuente's instead, I would have appreciated him while I had him. I really, really dislike the bargain basement Tokyopop look of Lafuente's art, which seems like such an odd and ill-suited choice for this particular book. It looks like he won't be on the next volume, though, and thank God for that.
