This is the first video I've shared in a while, but it's the one of Poets of the Fall's latest releases "Choice Millionaire".  I actually really like the mood and setting for this video.  These guys never fail to amaze me as to how creative they can be, both lyrically and artistically for visual aesthetics in their videos.

And I'm still listening to their album "Jealous Gods" as I'm typing this.  Oddly enough, I've had more than a few Poets songs in my head as fuel for creativity penning my writing projects.

I've been a busy bee today working on my Camp NaNo WIP, so I thought I'd share this as my per usual music inspiration posts for the narrative (I'll probably be doing this like I did my last Camp NaNo session).  This was one of the first songs I chose on my playlist because my narrative toggles between a futuristic space setting and a contemporary 21st century locale.  I discovered Electrasy because of this song, and it's a cool one.  And yeah, this song's from Titan A.E., which I haven't seen in a while.  Yet, I've watched it more than enough times to wish it had done better as one of Don Bluth's projects. =(

I'm close to 5K.  Still chugging.

Electrasy - Cosmic Castaway

Lose my head to the chemical freeway
Comin' up on overload in a mystic new dimension
Purify and sanctify me
What, so I'm in no end game

Move my piece right off the board
Losing sure is easy so I am no more

But I'm not broken, in my dream I win
In here I'm nothing, a cosmic castaway

In my head I'm a chemical dreamer
Speed up to burn out mode
Comin' up in the 5th dimension
Beautify don't crucify me, yeah

So I need no mind game poisoning my lonely soul
Losing sure is easy so I am no more

But I'm not broken, in my dream I win
And I take over 'coz I'm no loser
And I'm in and you're not, bad dreams don't stop
But I'm all screwed up, a cosmic castaway, yeah
A cosmic castaway, yeah, a cosmic castaway

And I want but have not, bad dreams, lust thoughts
In here with no pain, you hurt me again
And I want but have none, I should beat the alien

But here I'm no one, a cosmic castaway, yeah
A cosmic castaway, yeah, a cosmic castaway, yeah
A cosmic castaway

Taking a bit of a writing/editing break for the moment, but I'm working on the Camp NaNo project I wrote, which I think the title will definitely end up being "Stuffed".  I'll probably have a definitive description up for it this weekend, between working on "The Heart of Dark Machines."

I guess it was a given that this was another of the songs that was on my Camp NaNo playlist - since "Stuffed" was at least in part inspired by some aspects of the Silent Hill franchise, so I used the Silent Hill OSTs as mood music among some of the other songs I shared while I was writing in Camp NaNo last month.   I love Mary Elizabeth McGlynn's vocals, and Akira Yamaoka's instrumentals are powerful.  This is actually one of my favorite songs featuring McGlynn's contributions, alongside "Your Rain" from Silent Hill 4

You're Not Here: from Silent Hill 3

Blue sky to forever,
The green grass blows in the wind, dancing
It would be much better a sight with you, with me,
If you hadn't met me, I'd be fine on my own, baby,
I never felt so lonely, then you came along,

So now what should I do, I'm strung out, addicted to you,
My body it aches, now that you're gone,
My supply fell through,

You gladly gave me everything you had and more,
You craved my happiness,
When you make me feel joy it makes you smile,
But now I feel your stress,
Love was never meant to be such a crazy affair, no
And who has time for tears,
Never thought I'd sit around and cry for your love,
'till now.

For my creative friends - this was an interesting little video I came across a little while ago. Might be of some use to anyone who's stuck.
