There was so much potential to the beings and the world Lara Adrian introduced in this short story. If it had been a full-length book, it might have been awesome. As it was, everything was rushed and shallow and the breakneck speed made the love story almost ridiculous. I'd love it if Ms. Adrian revised this and turned it into a novel one day, but as it is now I was let down.

It was not even a real story.

Some sloppily created scenes with the most ridiculous case of insta-love and the most disgusting conclusion to a conflict I read in a long time.

The idea of Strange (non-human) and human people being in a war/discrimination situation in a dystopian future world on earth did have potential.

But the execution was really bad. Sloppy, loveless, boring.

I thought that the world and initial introduction to the story were great. An excellent hook and a very promising potential story. Unfortunately the romance story line was forced and unconvincing, leading to a very weak conclusion to a promising story.

I just finished this extremely short novella. I didn't really 'buy' it. The idea was nice, but I felt it was too short. The building of the relationship was unbelievable. I wish there was more to this novella since I LOVE the Midnight Breed series by Adrian.

I won't write anything about the plot since it too short as it is. 

I could totally read more about Nisha & Drakor! It's a great storyline that I wish elaborated on more. I'd love to find out what happens when Drakor takes over his kingdom.
