Poor Buck! LOL
Pucked Up - Helena Hunting

Pucked Up - Helena Hunting

I think I enjoyed this one more than the first.  Poor Buck.  He just couldn't get anything right.  I felt so bad for him.  But, I also though that Sunny was being unreasonable at times.  Especially when it came to the camping trip.  I totally sided with Buck on it.

Anyway, he seemed to get hisself together in the end.  He definitely deserved to get the girl after everything he went through!

LOL, funny!

Pucked - Helena Hunting

I really LOL with this one.  I was funny and absurd, but didn't take itself too seriously and that made me enjoy it all the more.  I have had this one for a long time but for some reason took a long time to get to it.  Now, I'm kicking myself.  I really can't wait to read more of this series.

I started listening to it on audio but the male narrator's "Canadian" voice was grating, so I had to stop and read it for the rest of the book.  I thought the female narrator was pretty good so I'm sad I couldn't enjoy the audio.

I will be continuing on with this series but won't get audio most likely unless the narrator is different.

Pucked Off (Pucked #5) by Helena Hunting
Pucked Off - Helena Hunting

Helena Hunting is on a winning streak with PUCKED OFF, the fifth book from the Pucked series.  I thoroughly enjoyed this book.  I’ve been dying to know more about what was going on between Lance Romero and Tash; finding out his side of the story shocked me.  I love that he reconnects with Poppy in this story.  This contemporary sports romance primarily takes place in Chicago.  It is told from both Lance’s and Poppy’s point of view.

I love Lance’s character.  He is complex and unexpected.  He has a dark past.  He is good at hiding his issues.  My heart really went out to him.  I’m so glad he crossed paths with Poppy again.  She is the perfect person to heal him, physically and mentally.  I thought it was clever how Lance and Poppy met as kids.  Poppy is about as sweet as they come.  I appreciated that she ends up becoming Lance’s massage therapist.

Tash surprised me.  I liked her in the earlier books.  I would have never guessed the issues going on with her.  It goes to show to show how different a person’s true nature can be.

I love how tight Lance is with his teammates and their girlfriends/wife.  They are his family and look out for him.  I love how the girls got involved with Poppy.

Helena Hunting did an amazing job with this story.  The characters are skillfully developed and believable.  The plot was unique and intriguing.  I LOVED the ending; it was very clever.  This series just keeps getting better.  I become more invested in the characters with every new book.  I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Get Inked by Helena Hunting
Get Inked: (A PUCKED Series and Clipped Wings Crossover Novella) - Helena Hunting,Jessica Royer Ocken

Helena Hunting’s GET INKED was a fun story that did a great job as a crossover novella between the Pucked and Clipped Wings Series  The guys from the Pucked Series get hockey themed team tattoos that are designed by the men of the Clipped Wings Series  This contemporary novella takes place in Chicago.

GET INKED starts out with Randy Ballistic talking to his girlfriend Lily LeBlanc about getting another tattoo sleeve.  The story is told from multiple characters,’ from both series, point of view throughout the story.  I like that this was a crossover novella.  I enjoy the Pucked Series and appreciated getting an update on the individuals.  I have not read any of the books in the Clipped Wings Series before, but I enjoyed its concept and characters.  Being a Chicagoan, I love that both series take place there.

I appreciated how the characters get along and interact with each other.  I liked the scenes with Darren and Charlene.  I’m really dying to learn more about their relationship.  I like Lance, I’m looking forward to his story.  I like Clipped Wings’ Tenley and Hayden.  The cupcakes are great.  I appreciated the similarities between Randy and Hayden.  I can never get enough of the rest of the Pucked crew: Violet, Alex, Miller, Sunny, Randy, and Lily.  They’re conversations are amusing.
