Book Review: Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
Attachments - Rainbow Rowell

Book Review: Attachments by Rainbow Rowell

I want to hug this book. I want to hug Rainbow Rowell for writing this book. And then I want to tell everybody to go read this book.

Not sure if I'm being clear, but I really loved this book.

Book Review: The Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Robin Palmer
The Corner of Bitter and Sweet -

This is Robin Palmer's first YA book that isn't a fairy tale retelling, but her fans have no reason to worry. Everything that makes her books so great is still here, including her addictive writing style, quirky sense of humor, and the story's strong sense of heart. What is different aboutThe Corner of Bitter and Sweet is that the subject material is heavier, though it doesn't always feel that way. Some books that deal with Tough Subjects tend to border on melodramatic, but TCoBaS manages to be realistic, without being depressing (which is why the title is so perfect).

Eleanor & Park
Eleanor & Park - Rainbow Rowell

A lot of people have been praising this realistic YA, and they’re totally right to do so. The characters are really well drawn, and the writing is the kind of effortless that’s actually very impressive. For me, though, it never tipped over into absolute love, and I still haven’t pinpointed exactly why. (It may not be the book for me and that’s all there is to it; not necessarily any issue on the book’s part.) (It’s not you, it’s me.)(Probably.)
