Infinite Tuesday: An Autobiographical Riff - Michael Nesmith

Wow, this was an interesting book. I did not know a lot of things about Michael Nesmith, but I do now. I could amaze you with the trivia I learned, but you will just have to discover it for yourself.

Okay, okay, did you know that Davy Jones was on the Ed Sullivan show the same night as The Beatles were for the first time? He was starring in the play "Oliver" and was with some of his cast mates. Don't remember him being on the show? Seriously?

Michael Nesmith calls his book an autobiographical riff which is exactly how its written. I thought it was funny while reading the book that he sounded like an old musician. I don't really remember The Monkees being known for their musical abilities but apparently they had some. Well, at least Michael had some.

Thanks to Crown Publishing for approving my request to read this very interesting title and to Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest review.

Blog Tour w/Review - RIFF

Out now from Skye Turner
A Lil Bit Country A Lil Bit Rock and Roll

Riff, Book One

Release Date: June 7, 2016

Rafe Rider is the lead singer of Destiny Fades to Blue, the “it boys” of rock. He is living the dream… traveling the country with his band, sharing his bed with the occasional groupie, and just living large… while their singles climb the charts.

Daisy Anderson is the lead singer of Sweet Southern Sass, the sweethearts and most famous female group of the last decade in country. Their sold out tour has ended and they are enjoying the down time while they prepare their next hit album.

Signed under the same label, a cross-over tour between the sweethearts of country and the bad boys of rock is just the thing to gather fans from both genres.

As the tour rolls out and the bands are thrust together… passion and tempers ignite as the “good” girl and the “bad” boy realize they aren’t quite as different as they imagined.
Can two people from different worlds find love on the road with the person they least expect?

When the sweethearts of country meet the bad boys of rock… more than the charts heat up.

***This book is intended for those 18 and older. It contains explicit sex, graphic language, and adult content. Those against those things should NOT read!

Riff (A Lil Bit Country & A Lil Bit Rock & Roll, #1)Riff by Skye Turner
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Rafe and Daisy will never see eye to eye. So the country gals have to record a song with the rocker boys. So what if they are all attracted to one another? Going on tour shoudl straighten that out. Or will it?

Everyone is wondering why Rafe and Daisy do not see what they do when they are in the same room. Daisy is known to be a good girl, and Rafe has a rep as a bad boy. Can they all just get along and make music happen? Or is the problem that its some great music that they make together?

These characters are very larger than life and come right off the page. I enjoyed reading about them and learning more about the music industry. The heat and sparks that the characters generate just being in the same room.... well. I am excited to see what the next book brings.

Wundervolles Unterwasser-Abenteuer!
Kuschelflosse - Das unheimlich geheime Zauber-Riff - Band 1 - Nina Müller,Nina Müller

Inhalt:
