I think I've got blue balls...
Magic Strikes - Ilona Andrews

This is just a shortie review.  I listened to this while I was on vacation so I had to write down my review.  Needless to say it was very short...

This was awesome.  So much action.  I loved finding out Kate origins.  So, amazing. Curran and Kate’s sexual tension is driving me crazy.  I almost groaned when the hot tub scene got interrupted!  GAH!  Well, there’s always book 4!

NOT my favorite but a strong addition to the series...
Obsidian - Laurann Dohner

OBSIDIAN was a hard book to rate.  The main character, Obsidian, was a very difficult character to like but an even more difficult character NOT to like.

I didn't like the deal that Alli was given because it was obvious that she was putting it all on the line for the New Species.  I'm hoping that she's given the chance to provide medical care to them again in the future.

And when the heck are they going to get rid of that shrink.  That guy is a real piece of work.  I hope he gets his...and soon.

This series just keeps going strong!
Tiger - Laurann Dohner

I will admit, when I first read Laurann Dohner's New Species series, I had  a lot to say.  I thought it was  rip off of Lora Leigh's breeds and I really didn't give it much of  a chance.  But, some goodreads friends told me that I should open my mind a bit and give it another go.

I'm so glad I did because this series really is fantastic and TIGER, book seven, in the series is no different.  I got a little more laughter out of this one than I usually do.

I loved the way that Zandy and Tiger got together.  Imagine her surprise when her dream man not only tired out to be real but was her new workmate.  LOL

The story was intense.  I was glad to see that these two got their HEA and I really hope to see more of them in future books.

Just keeps getting better!
Magic Slays - Ilona Andrews

I loved this so much, I'm not sure that I will be able to put everything into words. I'm going to give a sort of flash review with my thoughts and feelings and maybe when I've had a chance to think about it for a few days, I'll be able to put my thoughts together in a better way.

Poor Kate, can’t find any clients--and then when she did, it was a doozy wasn't it?

I just love how Curran “handles” her. He knows that she’s not the type of woman he can just order around. Love his negotiation style. It is likely to get him laid, ALOT! LOL (I'd probably be a big ole' puddle of goo around him.)

I can’t get over the revelations about Kate’s (step)father and mother! That witch pissed me off. She could have handled that a little bit better. I kept thinking that It had better not turn her against Curran because of it. I'm glad to see that wasn't the case.

OMG, Julie! Julie! OMG, Julie! Never saw that one comin'. I wonder what's going to happen going forward.

And Curran, how can you not love Curran. He says things to Kate and it just slays me how much he loves her. When he told her how he would protect her and any cost and showed how much thought he put into it. *sigh*

Needless to say, I’m loving this series. I’m a little late to the party but I’m all in now!

Oh, this series has sucked me right in!
Magic Burns - Ilona Andrews

*4.5 STARS*

The sexual tension is killing me! Seriously, she’s gone 18 months without sex and she’s able to resist Curran? Kate must be superhuman.

I really loved this book. I loved watching Kate in a mother like role with Julie. I loved the mystery, the fighting, the mythology. All of it. And while I agree that Kate is pretty kick ass, I wish she'd have a little more of a survival instinct. She's always getting her behind beat pretty badly.

And who is Kate? What secrets is she hiding? Who else knows who she really is? I can't wait to find out what all of this stuff means.

This is turning out to be a great series! I can't believe I put off reading it for so long.
