The Good Luck Sister (Wildstone #1.5) by Jill Shalvis
The Good Luck Sister - Jill Shalvis

Past, present and future collide to create a catalyst for a second chance at love. To understand how far a person comes, one has to take a look at where they have been. Jill Shalvis takes a walk down memory lane with a broken heart and a second chance. Tilly lost more than her friend when Dylan broke her heart. She lost a bit of that feisty spirit, she was forever known for. Moving on was not easy, but finally she's working toward her dreams, until a ghost from her past, makes it his goal to haunt her future. Amidst broken dreams, shattered pride and wounded hearts, The Good Luck Sister is a story of survival that spans a teenage friendship, a heartbreaking love affair and the ending that was always meant to be. Happily ever after.

Rainy Day Friends (Wildstone #2) by Jill Shalvis
Rainy Day Friends: A Novel (Wildstone) - Jill Shalvis

To find strength, fears have to be faced, life has to be lived and pain has to be felt. For in our weakest moments is when we are at our most powerful. Rainy Day Friends gives one woman the courage to take on heartbreaking betrayal and reach for the stars. Shalvis is at her best when she takes on reality. Lanie Jacobs is a manifestation of women everywhere. She gave her heart with the best of intentions and came away with more heartache than she every thought possible. Along the way she found her voice and sets about mending her heart, with a few more surprises thrown her way. Jill Shalvis, creates characters that are inspirational works of art.

It's in His Kiss
It's in His Kiss - Jill Shalvis

Another good Lucky Harbor book! This one was one of the better ones. Both Becca and Sam are flawed, but likable. One thing that I really liked was, their weakness were strengths of the other, so they complimented each other very nicely. Both were better individuals by the end.
I am curious about Olivia. I love Lucille!

It's In His Kiss (Lucky Harbor #10) by Jill Shalvis
It's in His Kiss - Jill Shalvis

This was my first time reading both a Shalvis book and one from the Lucky Harbor series. I liked it well enough to read more from this series and from Shalvis. It's a small town contemporary romance with a smart, capable heroine (Becca) and protective, caring to a fault at times hero (Sam). Sam came off as a omega - some moments he was more beta, some moments he was a bit alpha. The reveal of Becca's story includes rape, so warning - what I really liked is that she worked through her traumatic experience via a therapist and not the hero's magical penis. Becca does still have PTSD as well as some other mental health conditions stemming from a prior job, but she handles herself well and when she needs help she reaches out to the people close to her.

Friday Reads - March 30, 2018
Driftwood Cottage - Sherryl Woods
It's in His Kiss - Jill Shalvis
Trinity Falls - Regina Hart

The weather for this holiday weekend sucks - cold and wet. I feel myself slipping into a reading slump, so I am borrowing a few from OverDrive tonight and the library tomorrow in the hopes I find new series or authors to read. I picked these books due to the beachy, summery feel of the covers - exact opposite of the real weather. Right now, my reading this weekend includes Driftwood Cottage (Chesapeake Shores #5) by Sherryl Woods, It's in His Kiss (Lucky Harbor #10) by Jill Shalvis, and Trinity Falls (Finding Home #1) by Regina Hart.

Happy Passover, Happy Easter, Happy Days off from Work (maybe), and happy reading!
