Clique
Clique (Heartsville) - Jayden Brooks

This is part of the Heartsville Series, but can easily be read as a standalone.

The whole series is absolutely right for you if you're looking for something light, sweet and sexy, that is well written and highly entertaining.

Meet Adam, super-bubbly, super active, and still looking like he's barely able to vote, let alone drink. And he runs into Brandon. The serious dog walker, with a somewhat troubled past, who thinks he's stalked by a kid throughout the gayborhood. Which Adam doesn't, not really, but getting this misunderstanding cleared up and the deveolping tentative relationship after that, was really fun to read about. The over-the-top jealousy at one point really wasn't for me, it felt a little bit like being back in the 50s. Other than that, it was funny, a little sexy, and really sweet, and I absolutely adored Adam. 3.5 stars all around.

Bloom Box
Bloom Box (Heartsville) - Cate Ashwood

This is Milo's & Will's story.

I really liked this one. The writing was great, and made me feel and smile a lot. Will's back story is sad, his motivation (and lack thereof) were heart-breaking, but also made me feel stangely hoopeful. Milo is just a sweatheart. So good, so true and adorable - I loved him. These two together were sexy, successful, hot and brought a huge smile to my face. Wonderful short story.

Unscripted
Unscripted (Heartsville) - Nico Jaye

This is part of the Heartsville Series, but can easily be read as a standalone.

Still, I have to admit that this one was the weakest in the series for me. I enjoy Nico's writing. It's flowing, it's to the point and it makes me smile and feel. My problem here was probably that I didn't connect with Carter, while I liked Teddy. They both didn't sweep me off my feet, but I was happy listening to Teddy's thoughts and musing, and I felt for him. Carter, on the other hand, stayed an enigma. His back story, his motivations, his mood swings - it all stayed somewhat mysterious. So 3 stars all around, because I liked it, but didn't enjoy it as much as the other books in the series.

Another Shot
Another Shot - J.H. Knight

4 smiling stars for Adam & Brad

Oh, I was so looking forward to this. I like J.H. Knights writing so much and her characters really draw me in. This story was no exception, and it put a huge smile on my face. I loved Adam! Brad was more of a mytsery to me, but he was adorable in his own way. These two together were hot and sweet, but maybe a little... impulsive at times.

My only complaint? The blurb gives away practically everything! I wish it wa shorter, or at least less revealing, because it took a little bit of fun out of this shorty by giving away just a bit too much. I still really liked it, though. Mostly angst-free, sweet & sexy. Something to make you happy and smile.

Bookmarked (Heartsville)
Bookmarked (Heartsville) - Piper Vaughn

Barely 3 stars because I couldn't get into it

This should have been a real hit for me. Books, and a bookstore, and a cute owner, and a writer. The writing was good, the voice was fine, I just never really connected to the MCs. And then it was over. It was sweet, it was okay for me, but not really more than that. Maybe with more background information? But that's not how a short story should work... I'm really not sure. But it got me started on the series and naturally I had to read the other installments then, so 3 stars rounded up.
