I just went hitting random buttons, and it seems to be working now.

I'm heading to bed after spending half the day dealing with this same error. I can't create a new post and am having difficulty editing drafts as well.

If you're running any of the plug-ins mentioned so far you might want to double check that CloudFront is white-listed (if you haven't already). That seems to be what's fixed it for everyone else.

I didn't find anything specifically labeled CloudFlare or CloudFront that worked, but I unblocked an XML request in ABP and it is working now.

I am having the same problem as Susanna G. I am trying to write a post, and the thing alternates between not opening a writing box and deleting what I wrote.
I had that problem too, but I unblocked the XML request and the CloudFront script in ABP and it is working now. The other alternative is to use a different browser and see if that helps. I don't have ABP on the other browser I tried so it could be that.
Cloudflare or Cloudfront? (As in Amazon's cloudfront servers?)
Anobii is owned by the largest Italian publishing house. I dropped it immediately upon the takeover.
I tried to be on The Reading Room for years but was just too quiet/inactive for me and not a very robust book catalog (certainly not in terms of editions) -- but, until the linked articles to Bookstr takeover was just bland with potential and some decent features. With the takeover -- I just have no use for still yet another book site wanting to pick my next book for me; there are hundreds of those available and I instead need the feature-heavy book discussions and book posts from readers free to be open about what they do and don't like so I can decide whose personal tastes will get me curious about a book.
"...while at the same time providing highly relevant, trusted content and recommendations. Bookstr aims to provide a breakthrough social platform to help readers find the books they want to read.” -- sorry, Bookstr, Amazon, goodreads, riffles, et. al. I don't care, find relevant, find interesting or trust your content or recommendations. I may as well just look at "also enjoyed" "also bought" and on page advertising if not hearing it from friended/followed readers I've gotten to "know."
I can't even post anymore! I can blog a meme by using the photo tab at the top, but I can't post any text. I was planning to post a review later but I can't now. Anyone else having these problems?

I found if I do the text first I can get the blog in. I've been doing it on FF, haven't tried Chrome.
Irony - other things started working for me again when this stopped (page response time, ability to open a group page from notifications)
Thanks, but the cursor won't even show up in the text box
Do you have Ghostery, No Script, or Ad Block running? You have to give permission for Cloudflare to run. (I had the same problem and it was a problem with Ad Block in my case.)
Hol, are you finding your text box is missing? If so, I am having the same problem. I can get the text box to show up briefly if I select the box to come back to my text upon saving and choose "save as draft." But then the text box quickly disappears. I managed to write exactly one word before my text box re-vanished.
Update: Bookstooge's fix worked for me! Thank you kindly.
I too am having the disappearing box problem, and staff's response was to come here and report it *again.* Bizarre.
Anyway, a couple of people have mentioned Bookstooge's fix -- could someone tell me what post number it is? Thanks.
Just tagging on to my previous post: staff response was useless when I wrote back and said I found it unacceptable that they wanted me to scroll through 120 pages of posts to find an answer.
I am annoyed.
