"36. Read a book that involves travel to Europe, or that has an image of any European city or monument on the cover, or that the letters of the title can spell the name of any European country that I visited on my trip."

I'm having trouble finding books for this one. Which countries have you visited?

According to the description on the square itself (see here: http://moonlightreader.booklikes.com/post/1887666/booklikes-opoly-2019-the-real-estate-spaces and here: http://booklikes.com/thread/4570/2019-booklikes-opoly-rules-spaces?p=0#thread-post-39130), that would presumably be France, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Spain.

I recently shared a bunch of reading lists and some of my bookshelves that might helf with the four "Railfroad" squares and the "European Vacation" squares:

Maybe you'll find some inspiration in the lists and bookshelves linked in that post.

Hmm... so the prompt on the graphic square actually calls for the "European city" that she visited, but the prompt in the plain text version says "European country." Since MR had listed cities she visited as part of the square's brief intro, can we assume that she meant 'city' rather than 'country'?

I was just getting ready to post and fix that - yes, it meant city. I c&p'd a version that I had slightly edited for the final cards. I will change it in the rules discussion & on my post, but I can't do anything about the reblogged versions! In light of that, I will accept any book that fits the prompt using the letters from either city or country.
Oh, thank you all. I'll find me some books to match now :D

That's exactly how it works! The four novelty cards are basically wild cards to get you out of a square that leaves you scratching your head and going "I have absolutely nothing that fits this prompt!"

Yep!
OK, so my two Memorial Day enhancement rolls got me to the BL square, and the "spin the wheel decide" gave me "move to the space of your choice". Can I combine this with another novelty card -- i.e., could I decide to move to the race car or the robot, pocket that card and roll again? The way you handled landing on "Go" in your own update post seems to suggest that I could do this, but I'd rather make sure!

You can do this!

Great, thank you!

You don't get a reroll for a square that is meh. If you have a novelty card, you can use it. Or you just take the next extra roll and hope for something better!
Just to be on the safe side: I did my second roll on Thursday and I'm still reading that book - can I still do the bonus rolls today?
If I am starting play either tonight or tomorrow, do I get 3 rolls right off the bat? One regular roll and the two bonus Memorial Day rolls?

You don't have to finish them in order, but you do have to finish all of the books you are going to read before you can move on again.
Is landing on GO the same as passing GO? Do I get to collect $5 now or wait until I actually move on?
Need help?
