5 Star Mad Panther
Mad Panther - Donna McDonald

A woman’s got to do what she’s got to do, so when the sentient blade sends Sugar Jennings on a rescue mission, she sneaks of her Bad Panther’s bed without saying goodbye. The blade’s business turns out to be saving another sentient blade host – who just happens to be a cocky kid fresh out of college and while amusing and adorable, he’s also a bit pain in everyone’s rear. Honestly, all this blade drama is starting to wear on Sugar’s last nerve and her alien panther isn’t the only getting mad over the situation.

The second alien panther story has the romance between Sugar and her sexy panther becoming a bit rocky due to all the business the blade has Sugar attending to and her panther’s over protectiveness. And the rest of the family has their hands full with an uprising and one of Sugar’s alien –sister-in-law is having quite the time handling the new sentient blade host that Sugar has brought home with her. So emotions are running high and where it all ends nobody knows which keeps readers quite amused and completely tuned in.

The story is fast paced and has lots of suspense and excitement happening throughout guaranteeing that readers can’t put the book down for fear of missing something. Missions, betrayals, secrets revealed and life changing news are strategically found throughout this book as well which another entertaining and fascinating reason to keep the readers’ eyes glued to the pages.

4 Star Bad Panther
Bad Panther - Donna McDonald

An archaeologist and an Ancient Earth Historian, Dr. Sugar Jennings has a problem, she’s the host of a very old, very ancient artifact of enormous power and everyone wants the power she possesses. Rogue Panther Shifter and heir to Lyran throne Axed Rodu has one job to do concerning the archeologist and one job only, by order of his queen he must make sure Dr. Jennings stays alive until the artifact is done with her, no matter what it takes.

Bad Panther is a very different kind of story, it’s a cross between paranormal, science fiction and fantasy with a super hero thrown in. The characters are strong, captivating and easily draw readers into their story while fascinating them with all of the different elements. The romance between Axel and Sugar is full of electrical chemistry and steamy passion. The attraction is there and the relationship is building but the artifact may be an obstacle they can’t overcome, or maybe it’s all the people that would love to get their hands on Sugar.

The author has certainly created a fascinating world – one that challenges world views and is full of snark, fun, adventure and a unique, refreshingly different story plot. The suspense and excitement builds throughout the story ensuring that the readers remain engaged throughout, never have a dull moment and definitely want more of mysterious world.

Eric 754 (Cyborgs: Mankind Redefined #4) by Donna McDonald Review
Eric 754 - Donna McDonald

Marine Lance Corporal Eric Anderson tended to forget he was cyborg. Hell--most of the time he didn't give being mostly a military machine any thought. He'd always lived by his human gut, not his logic chip, so thinking out of the cybernetic box was just how he worked.

Then he met her--Evelyn 489--a female cyborg so erratically dangerous she has to be kept locked away. Angry, violent, and full of deadly intentions, Evelyn 489 epitomizes every fear about cyber scientists that ever kept him awake at night. Some warped cyber scientist stripped away her real identity to create the perfect companion. Until he gave into his urge to be her superhero, the woman didn't even know she used to be Army Captain Lucille Evelyn Pennington.

Though Peyton is full of doubts, Eric is compelled to help Kyra and Nero restore the woman who once liked to be called Lucy. It doesn't help his cause that several people seem determined to kill her.

Review

This one is a full cast and action packed. The romance is a bit achy as both leads have a lot to recover from but the plot moves fast and its a good read.

Kingston 691 (Cyborgs: Mankind Redefined, #2) by Donna McDonald Review
Kingston 691: Book 2 of Cyborgs: Mankind Redefined (Volume 2) - Donna McDonald

They took his wife and his memories away. Now he wants them back.

Kingston West put his military service behind him much easier than most of the men he served with during the final war. As far as he was concerned, the cyborg who was Kingston 691 no longer existed. And the Cyber Husband program? He viewed it like he viewed having been a prisoner of war. Both were just service related memories he didn’t plan on recalling. The future was all he needed.

At least he felt that way until he discovered one wife’s file had been totally erased from his Cyber Husband records. Only her name remained in data storage, though her family swore they’d had a loving relationship.

To put the past completely behind him, King has to first find the now missing Seetha Harrington. Before he can enjoy his new beginning, he needs to find out why Norton took those seven years together away from both of them.

Review

The hero in this  science fiction romance is wonderful. He never flinches from reality and is a warrior and a chef.

The heroine is interesting as she is now after having experienced prison/work camp but I never quite settle in with who she was before. The romance is less satisfying than it could be because her love of him comes from the time before which he gets back in memories slowly so we don't get the falling in love bits so important to a romance with her being less defined.

There is plenty of action here and good world building.
