Echo Queen (Echo Trilogy #2) by Lindsey Fairleigh
Echo Queen: A Time Travel Romance (Echo Trilogy, #2) - Lindsey Fairleigh

I love mythology.  Echo Queen is a wonderful contemporary take using Egyptian mythology as its foundation.  The story is well-written and, the characters are well developed.  Echo Queen is extremely thought provoking.    Lindsey Fairleigh attention to detail is admirable.  Echo Queen would make an excellent movie.

Echo in Time - Viola Grace

This is a story about Alara and Brodin. Alara is taken to an almost prison and Brodin is sent to rescue her. Cute story. PG.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!
Echo Across Time (The Echo Saga, #1) - Skye Genaro

***Received the ebook from the author for an honest review, but I bought it because I knew I had to have it especially for under a buck :)

The cover is really beautiful and magical looking :)  Really draws my attention to it :)

Skye is awesome at painting this picture that makes everything seem possible, and you feel like you are right there.  The creativity and story line in this book amazes me.  I wish I had even a tiny bit of the creativity authors have to come up with such awesome stories.  I think that this series is going to get better and better.  I even went and bought the short stories that I haven’t read yet to go with the copy I bought of this one :)  I eventually hope to get this book in paperback, so I can share with my awesome students :)

Okay Echo reminds me of a typical high school student trying to figure out who she is while also trying to fit in with her peers.  And she doesn’t have the confidence in herself and her abilities like a true high school student.  Trying to inspire confidence in my students is always one of the hardest things to accomplish, and it always breaks my heart when my kiddos don’t believe in themselves.

I’m still not sure what to think of Connor, and I really didn’t want the book to end where it did.  I want to know what happens.  It will be interesting to see if my imagination is taking me where the story is actually going :)

I recommend this story to all the dreamers out there especially if you believe in mind power.  Well, I’m off to read a new adventure :)

Echo in Time
Echo in Time - C. J. Hill

It had been a while since I'd read the first book in this series, but it is written in a way that makes it fairly easy to come back into the series and know what is going on. Still, as a sequel, I don't think that this holds up very well to its predecessor. I found the ethics and morality questions less poignant, the characters less engaging, and a general lack of interest in the story and how it would all end up.

Todays Purchases + a review copy from Alex Marwood. Lovely Lady.
Rose Under Fire - Elizabeth Wein
The Violent Century - Lavie Tidhar
Time's Echo - Pamela Hartshorne
The Killer Next Door - Alex Marwood

So all these lovely books arrived today and have been added to the ever growing pile. I'm leaving "Rose Under Fire" alone for a while because I still need to recover from "Verity" which left me in a weeping heap and I'm told Rose may do the same! The Violent Century looks HIGHLY intriguing and one of my blogger friends raved about it so looking forward to that one. Time's Echo is not my usual fayre but was recommended to me so giving it a go. And then we have the lovely Alex Marwood (Author of The Wicked Girls) who has sent me an ARC of her new one that I am DYING to read.

So happy times ahead!

Have a great weekend BookLikers!
