A different take on the post-apocalyptic genre
Sheltered, Volume 1: A Pre-Apocalyptic Tale - John Christmas,Ed Brisson

However, in spite of its different take, feels a lot like Lord of the Flies. To some readers, that may be good. For others, not so much. Click the link and check out my full review of this on my blog, The Itinerant Librarian.

Booknote: Mara
Mara TP - Ming Doyle

I have posted my review of this on my blog, The Itinerant Librarian. Here is an excerpt from the review:

"The AV Club described this book 'Akira, Hunger Games, and Superman collide.' I would not go as far as that, but this comic does have elements that will appeal to fans of those works. It will likely hold strong appeal to fans of dystopian works in general."
