Return to Jenkins Cove by Rebecca York, Ann Voss Peterson & Patricia Rosemoor

Christmas Delivery (A Holiday Mystery at Jenkins Cove) - Patricia Rosemoor

CHRISTMAS SPIRIT by Rebecca York
Chelsea Caldwell is right back where she started, seeing ghosts and being the talk of the town. Yet there's something sinister happening in the small town of Jenkins Cove, and Chelsea might just be the person to uncover it.

It felt like this book couldn't decide what it wanted to be. Romantic suspense, paranormal romance? Each separate classification would've worked, unfortunately, mixed together created an unfortunate mess.

The characters were bland and dull, the plot got lost in the suspense/paranormal/killer/ghosts mess, and the romance left me utterly cold.

CHRISTMAS AWAKENING by Ann Voss Peterson
After ten years, Marie Leonard is back in Jenkins Cove determined to discover why her father's been murdered...But she'll have to deal with skepticism by the local chief of police, the man who broke her heard ten years ago, and a killer determined to silence her forever.

Though this one also had some paranormal elements, it was a much more straightforward romantic suspense story than its predecessor.

Unfortunately, the suspense aspect was the only thing I enjoyed about this one, even though the villain's motive left much to be desired.
The characters were bland (the hero was a self-pitying fool and I simply couldn't stand his moaning toward the end), and the romance tepid.

CHRISTMAS DELIVERY by Patricia Rosemoor
Lexi thought Simon, the father of her preteen daughter, dead for thirteen years, but instead of dead, he's merely been through hell, thanks to human traffickers operating in the small town of Jenkins Cove.
But now, Simon is back, determined to make whoever the culprit is pay...

This second-chance quasi-romance left me utterly cold. The characters were dull and bland, I didn't care about their relationship in the past (since we never got to see it) or in the now (because they simply weren't that compatible).

The main suspense arc of this "series" was never that interesting, so the resolution (rather predictable in all ways) didn't bring much satisfaction.

Release Day Review! Wolf Moon (The McKenna Legacy #7) Patricia Rosemoor!
Wolf Moon - Patricia Rosemoor

RT Book Review: 4.5 stars TOP PICK

Aileen McKenna came to the remote town of Wolf Creek to study wolves in the wild and ran into Rhys Lindgren, an enigmatic man with dark secrets and a connection to the local wolf pack. Frightened townspeople were convinced a predatory wolf was on the loose after three men were found dead in the woods. Rhys didn’t believe it any more than Aileen, and she intended to prove the wolves’ innocence. But would Rhys take her into the snow-covered forest to do just that? She'd have to be alone with him and trust him to draw out a killer…

The seventh book in the McKenna Legacy series is one intriguing read. It is full of anticipation building suspense that keeps readers glued to the pages and on the edge of their seat. The story takes place at a steady pace that ensures that readers are never bored and one that along with the wonderfully intriguing setting keeps readers aware that danger could strike at any moment. Aileen and Rhys are strong, compelling characters that easily draw readers to them and ensures that they want to know everything about their story. Their romance is sweet but full of anticipation as well while they each try to unravel secrets while they are facing an unknown danger as well. The town itself like I said is intriguing which adds to the suspense and adds a kind of mystifying fell to the story.

Patricia Rosemoor has a gift for making her stories seem intense and holding her readers hostage with hair raising suspense that sends delightful tingles of anticipation down the spine. This is the first book I have read of the McKenna Legacy but since the stories could be read as standalone that was no problem and the story certainly aroused my curiosity about the other McKenna and their stories so I will be reading them soon.

Release Day Review! Eyes of the Tiger by Patricia Rosemoor!
Eyes of the Tiger - Patricia Rosemoor

Jewelry designer Gemma Hewitt has a gift. Gems and jewelry speak to her, which inspires her designs, and also sends her on dark adventures across the globe as she seeks out historic pieces. After her mother is brutally murdered, Gemma inherits her famed jeweled collar, which she hopes will lead her to see the face of her mother’s killer and bring him to justice. Instead, she's thrown back to 1901 India where she sees the young woman about to be married with a pendant that matches her jeweled collar. When she's hired to find the entire bridal suite, she hopes she can use the jewels to save her family's fortune. Can she trust the handsome, enigmatic man who promises to help her on her quest, or is he the one she should be running from?

British reporter/photographer Raj Sinclair wants the bridal suite for his own reasons. Attracted to Gemma, he senses a connection with her as if he’s known her for a very long time. When danger stalks her, he will do anything to protect her.

The treasure hunt takes them to cities from the US to Britain to France, ending in India where the bridal suite is finally rejoined... and three reincarnated souls get another chance to make things right.

Eyes of the Tiger is chock full of suspense and intrigue as well as romance which keeps readers glued to the pages.  Gemma and Raj are strong, compelling characters that have a sizzling chemistry that heats up the pages while they struggle to with trust and emotional issues that keeps the turmoil high despite their attraction and a smoldering passion that refuses to let them ignore it. The relationship is kind of an all uphill battle between Gemma and Raj but the intriguing events that take place keeps putting them together so they can’t deny the romance.

The anticipation builds throughout the story as the danger and the intrigue continues to build with lots of twists and turns to keep the readers wondering until the very end. The author makes it all come to vivid life with well written words that paint vivid images and makes it easy for the readers to become lost in the story.

Patricia Rosemoor has a gift for using twisting fascinating tales with unique elements that grab readers attention and keep them absorbed with the mystique and romance of her captivating characters and Eyes of the Tiger certainly holds readers hostage until the very end and to me it had a quest or treasure hunt feel to the story that really pulled me along and made feel as if I was joining Gemma and Raj on their adventure.

Good characters and story
Animal Instincts - Patricia Rosemoor

Skye could communicate with animals and usually saw images of their thoughts her twin brother Shade could hear people’s thoughts and was a cop. Shade was the other half to Skye’s souls. Skye worked with animal  rescue  as she also had a psychic connection with animals as well as her twin. But now a man Skye and she could hear his thoughts . skye had been looking for a wounded coyote and seen a lion, a wolf , and a hyena and he told them to leave and they did. Then Shade appeared and and asked what Skye was doing with this man before her. Skye could feel the mutual dislike between the two men. Shade knew more than he was letting on. Then shade was blocking what he was letting Skye see. Luc qwas then man by Skye and she heard him when he thought “ what are you”. Luc’s father had won the permit to build the first casino boat in Chicago though the permit for The Ark as it was called had not included the several lower decks clocked by his father’s magic where only the invited got to play. The year before when the first complex on the lower decks  had opened Luc had taken the job of head of security to make his dad happy. Luc had recognized Ske as Shade’s sister from the physical similarities she shared with Shade. Yet he couldn’t control her. Luc wanted to know Skye better and he didn’t like being thwarted. Luc was used to having control especially over humans but for some reason not Skye. Luc couldn’t get her off his mind. Shade then died in the line of duty with a bullet through his skull.and had saved Luc’s mother Elizabeth. Even his partner didn’t know he was looking into murders that may be linked to the casino. Then Luke’s ghost appeared to Skye in his apartment which apparently his ghost couldn’t leave. Shade figures he has unfinished business here and that is was the case he was working on he won’t be able to move on until that is solved. Skye finds her mother’s old Book Of Powers and it explains what is going on and all the odd things Skye can do. Skye reads the book to Shade’s ghost and Luc was by an outside window and heard what Skye actually is and what have to ask her what she was anymore. Luc is a shifter who was half human he had not embraced either side of himself. His human mother raised him. Luc pushed Skye away thinking it would keep her safe.

I did definitely enjoy this book., it's definitely a different twist on shifters. Some of the word choices were off like using coppers for a cop. There was some replication in the dialogue like Luc asking “ what are you” it got boring. This made me choke up at times. Luc and Skye had some hot chemistry between them. The supernaturals didn’t seem to really care if their secrets got out and people became aware of what they were. I liked the tension between Luc and Skye.  My interest was caught in the beginning and stayed through to the end. I also liked the plot and the fast pace. I liked the drama bit loved the character and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend.

Review For : Animal Instincts by Patricia Rosemoor
Animal Instincts - Patricia Rosemoor

3.5 Stars
Animal Instincts by Patricia Rosemoor is the first book in the series " Kindred Souls".  This is the story of Luc Lazare and Skye Cross.   Luc is working to help save his family from a bad situation and doesn't have time for distractions. Skye too is looking to help the animals she is able to connect with which leads her to where she is now with Luc.
This was a pretty interesting read and I will look for more books by this author.
