Briony DuBois had no choice but to make a deal with a newly-freed convict who now holds her future in his hands in this spectacular paranormal romance. Every exhilarating experience with the Crescent City Creatures draws me deeper into their world making it so I never want to leave all the wonderful characters and their fascinating world. To make things even better, Briony and Sebastian’s story added a few interesting and different magical elements that added flair to their story and then built up some heavy-duty curiosity regarding Alexander which means I will be waiting on pins and needles for the next book.

Their pairing could bring a fate worse than death but only Heath and Sophia can keep each other safe in this thrilling paranormal romance.  Wow, the difference between this story and the first one is a marked improvement that really blew me away, I mean I enjoyed the first one and I knew that the series idea and the intriguing characters had lots of promise but I wasn’t expecting the author to take it quite this far, this fast. I was completely wrapped up in Heath and Sophia’s story from the very beginning and I definitely can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Lisa works at the County Coroner’s Office and when the sexy man she’s been admiring ends up on her table she’s so disappointed. She didn’t have the opportunity to make a play for him, so she decides the next best thing is to bring him back to life. She gives him a few new body parts then hits him with some juice. Will she end up with a creature or BBQ?

 

Ok, I have to admit that other than the creep factor of bringing a dead guy to life so she can shag him, this is a pretty good story. It starts at 12%, but it doesn’t short-change at the end. Well-written and moderately hot, the only problem with it is it moves too fast to be “believable” and what Lisa does to Henry is despicable. The ending is questionable, too (like nobody is going to look down there after talking to Henry?), but I’ll go with it. Maybe Lisa will move him someplace else. At least the writing is decent and it looks like it’s actually been edited. Big pluses in my book. I’d definitely read more by this author.

If you are, into paranormal that gives you many various creatures then this is the book for you. We get a bit of a cocktail here werewolves who are being punished for little things they have done and they want freedom but at what cost? Raphael meets Mary who is a very strong and loving woman but she is now fighting for her life. Can Raphael save her? And is Mary what she seems to be? We get action and the romance is very sweet between this couple. The writing was good and the characters are strong. However, it seemed a bit jumpy so I found I lost myself here and there. And it could use more proofing.
If this was a first in the series then I can't wait to hear about the other characters.
