Heat and plot
Love under the Lights (Whole Lotta Love) - S.L. Carpenter,Sahara Kelly

*Book source ~ A review copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.

Toni Sinclair is stuck between a rock and a…rock. The hard place is about to show up. After she blows her top at her scummy sexually harassing boss and storms out she wonders how the hell she’s going to find another job and pay down her pile of debt. Lucky for her she runs into a successful adult film actress. Suze thinks Toni has what it takes, so she gives her a number to call. Is Toni desperate enough to dial that number?

Well-written with depth to the characters this isn’t porn about the porn industry. This is a romance that happens while filming porn. Toni and cameraman Paul Whittaker fall for each other a bit quick, but considering the circumstances it’s forgivable. A little on the short side (the story, not *ahem* other things) it’s a quick naughty read with lots of heart.

Gdy wracam do domu, ma chatka malutka
I sama tam jestem, zupełnie samiutka.
Lampeczkę zapalam co ledwie się tli,
I tylko mój kotek ze mną śpi...

Bellissimo Lotta
Bellissimo Lotta - Leigh Ann Lunsford Bellissimo Lotta - Leigh Ann Lunsford April's 5 Star Review
The idea of forever terrifies Bianca Agosto. Abhorring love; she is surrounded by it on a daily basis. The Mob Princess is doted on, adored by all, and loved by one. Struggling with her feelings against love, she falls. Hard.

Dakota Hyatt, the boy who was untainted by the life in which Bianca grew up, and her brother’s best friend. His own tragedy in life makes him hold on to the things that matter. He may not understand what the life means for Bianca, but he makes sure to be her safe haven, her soft landing, the one place she can truly be herself.

Succumbing to love isn’t easy but proves to be worth every hurdle; but one lie, one mistake, one indiscretion destroys it all. The boy who seemed so untouched by the life might not be as removed as they all once believed.
This is Dakota and Bianca's story. Be prepared for a roller coaster ride of emotions in this story. Both characters are a mess at times. They really do love each other though. But at some points, it's almost toxic.
You can feel how much and how strong Dakota and Bianca love is for each other. Just like any other couple they have some major bumps in the road. There are times that you are wanting them to be together but then there are times I yelled at them to just get away from each other. You have been warned if you are looking for a happily ever after we only get it for one couple in this book.
I couldn’t put this book down. This book was written nicely. The flow of the story was awesome. It kept you wanting more. There is a steady pace throughout the book and there is a mix of both sad, happy and anticipation. I love how she brought back Bronson and Callie and how she introduced us to a new character. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
Make sure you read the first book Bellissimo Fortuna before reading this one.

Review: Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella
Can You Keep a Secret? - Sophie Kinsella

I was looking for a lighthearted fluffy kind of romance and in certain respects, this book delivered.  Emma Corrigan is a heroine who makes endless blunders and has socially awkward moments that made me smile and laugh.  She is basically an airhead times one hundred, which I initially didn't mind but it started to grate on my nerves as I reached later chapters of the book.  There came a point while reading when Emma's personality and choices are too ridiculous to take seriously, and she becomes a caricature instead of a fully developed character that I would want to root for to overcome obstacles.

The romance is cute at times, but I don't think Jack Harper is the type of romantic lead to swoon over and by the end of the book I thought he was a jerk.  I couldn't understand what Emma sees in him and overall this story pales in comparison to some of Kinsella's other works (specifically I've Got Your Number, which is a much stronger and more humorous story).
