"Only If You Dare" by Stephanie Nicole Norris

My Thoughts....

What will happen when Desiree decides to quit her job?  Will something happen that causes her to remain on the job? I loved how this author gives the reader one interesting plot for this well told story.  Well, when Julian Rose the brother of Jaden Rose decides he wanted Desiree to work for him on a photo project, her life will definitely change. But in what way will this happen for Desiree because she had a hands off policy toward men due to what had happened with her earlier in her life where she seemed to take out her 'frustrations and pain out on everyone around her' definitely leaving her with a lot of trust issues especially with men.  Will Julian be able to help change all of that for Desiree? Well, you will just have to pick up this wonderful love, with some well developed characters, hot love scenes and even a believable read that will keep your interest turning the pages till the end. I did love Desiree's best friend Santana.  Wow, to have a friend like her to want to move and start a new life just to be around your best friends...left me still saying WoW!

Julian was definitely another Rose brother to add to that wonderful colorful collection of brothers om this good read!  I will say that I may have missed something in the read ... like what was up with that guy that broke into the girls apartments and what was he really up to by doing this to them?  Oh well, I still enjoyed the read.

Now, I will be waiting for the next  series 'Falling For A Rose Book 4' that deals with Desiree's best friend Santana and another Rose brother...Josiah in "Fever.

Audio Book Review: Deathtrap (Crossbreed #3) By Dannika Dark
Deathtrap - Dannika Dark

My Rating: 4 and a half stars

I can't even begin to express how much I adore this series so far! I wish I'd have waited for the whole series to be out before I started on it though. Each book has so many little nuances that I'll likely forget most of them because of the gap in between the time I read each book as they're releasing.

Raven is such an amazing character. She's a fighter with a chip on her shoulder and won't take anyone's sh*t. I like how the author is developing the relationship between her and Christian as well. It's sweet and snarky at all the perfect moments. I was caught off guard by how funny their one liners are.

Christian is a character that has grown on me since the Mageri series. I appreciate his innuendo laden jokes and his overall charisma. He's an entertaining character and I'd love to see a happy ending for him.

I've grown attached to most of the Keystone gang, but I can't help and want to know more about Shepard's storyline (which was left as a minor and infuriating cliffhanger). I had an inkling that the author would throw this curveball, I just didn't anticipate how on edge it left me feeling.

In conclusion, this series has proved itself to be incredible. I would have preferred to binge read it when it concludes, but it's too late for me now. It caught me in its web. I continue to hope that after this series is complete that we get spin-off series for the characters in Keystone.

The Audio Book:

Nicole Poole has grown on me as a narrator. I love her narration for this series in particular. Though I have to mention that at the end of the book when Shepard was talking to Patrick, Patrick's voice would turn into Christian's for the span of a few words then it would go back to Patrick's voice. That was the only time the narration made me question how was actually having the conversation. Other than that it was great!

Complications on Ice (Boys of Winter #3) by S.R. Grey
Complications on Ice (Boys of Winter Book 3) - S.R. Grey
  1. R. Grey scores a hat trick with the third book in the Boys of Winter series, COMPLICATIONS ON ICE.

NHL star, Benjamin “Benny” Perry, decides to get back at his coach by dating his daughter, Eliza Townsend.  He doesn’t plan on falling for her and the complications that come along with it.  This contemporary sports romance is suitable for new adult and adult audiences.  It primarily takes place in Las Vegas.

We met Eliza in the previous book.  I was looking forward to her story, and I was not disappointed.  I like how the novels overlap. A lot of stuff was going on with Eliza that we had no clue about.  She went through a lot.  She grows up tremendously in a short amount of time.  I like Benny.  He is a former substance abuser.  He matures throughout the story.  He is a sweet guy.  I didn’t really like that they both wanted to get to know each other before having met each other, but I like the way that the story played out.

The plot was clever and believable.   There were numerous obstacles and twists that kept the story interesting.  I like how Drew Chidders was incorporated into the book.  I wouldn’t mind hearing his story down the line.  The baby food diet was amusing.  COMPLICATIONS ON ICE was skillfully written and flowed well.  I had a hard time putting down this book.  I’m looking forward to Dylan’s story, CAUTION ON ICE.  I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Riverbend, Ciara Knight
In All My Dreams (Riverbend Book 3) - Ciara Knight

I enjoyed this clean, sweet novella Romance, Book .05. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review. I've given this a 4.5* rating. This would make a good case for the absent minded professor saying. Both the hero and the heroine were a little bit like that. This is a nice sweet love story.

Book Review For: The Chief's Maiden" by Cecelia Mecca
The Chief's Maiden: Border Series Book 2 (Volume 3) - Cecelia Mecca

'The Chief's Maiden' by Cecelia Mecca is Book Three in The "Border" Series. This is the story of Toren Kerr and Lady Juliette Hallington. I have read the other books in this series (and loved them!) but feel this can easily be a standalone book.
Juliette is the daughter of Stewart Hallington a English Warden. Juliette father has plans for her to marry a man that Juliette doesn't not want to marry. So when it time to go to the Games between the English and the Scots, Juliette plans to find a husband there. But her father doesn't go as plan but he does allow her to go with Lady Christina and husband.
James Douglas Warden of the Marches tells Toren that there is a Royal Decree From King that he is to kill Stewart Hallington. They think he is cheating and allowing cheating to go on at the games that has caused the death of some of their people. Toren tries to argue that he can't do it but James talks to him further about a past incident that confirms that he will have to do this assassination.
Juliette and Toren accidentally meet and sparks fly. But they don't learn who the other truly is until after they start to have feelings for each other.
I have truly enjoyed the "Border" series and Ms. Mecca writing! Each book once you start reading makes it very hard to put it down until the end.
Can't wait for more books by this author!
"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."
