Hard to Love (Play Hard) by: K. Bromberg
Hard to Love (Play Hard) - K. Bromberg

Hard to Love by K. Bromberg

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bromberg threw my emotions into overdrive. Finn and Stevie are a hot mess in need of some redemption. From over inflated egos to heartbreaking let downs, Hard to Love brings on the drama while plowing through senses. Bromberg gives less than perfect an irresistible shine and that's what speaks to the heart.

Sweet Cheeks
Sweet Cheeks - K. Bromberg Sweet Cheeks - K. Bromberg You know that feeling, that great feeling, when a book has all your catnip. The writing seems nice enough, it's keeping you entertained...and then it's about 200 pages too long or something?

This book is a great example of that. It was so promising at the beginning, showing so much potential, and then they have sex.

And for some reason, I lost all interest after that. Sex scenes were great, and all buried to the hilt and all. Nothing wrong there. The place where second chances go so wrong? Easy, they rely on long ago stories, feelings, and places of who the people were and DEAD stop. This book resolved the issues faced by the characters really simply, thus avoiding all delicious and development-related angst. Once again, in a second chance, I'm left with the shards of childhood stitched together with adults who still have chemistry but no actual work to show for it. When I didn't show work, I got a C-

For a better version of a wildly similar book, really--the leaving without a trace boy [b:Dirty Dancing at Devil's Leap|33295720|Dirty Dancing at Devil's Leap (Hellcat Canyon, #3)|Julie Anne Long|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1500724285s/33295720.jpg|54026781]

I recommend that whole series. This I do not recommend.

Go, Diego, Go! the Essential Guide - Brian J. Bromberg
For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-Cycle

Before reading this book, I didn't really know anything about Diego. I had never watched the show and just knew that he was Dora's cousin. This is a very informative guidebook about Diego and the animals he rescues. It goes through what Diego does, the tools he uses, and the people/animals who help him. (Sidenote: Diego has way cooler gadgets than Dora ever did.)

This is a good book for fans of Diego or kids who really like animals, but it's not that interesting to read through. There are tons of facts of animals and how they adapted to various ecosystems (desert, rainforest, Africa, etc.), but it is best read over multiple sittings. It's a lot of information to take in at once. Because it's a guidebook, it is just a lot of facts, rather than a story.

The pictures are okay, but many look like they were taken directly from the show so they are blurry.
