PERFECT LOVE by Amanda Cowen was the perfect story. The novel takes place following book one, PERFECT SENSE. Quinn Ashby discovered Cash Brooks’ secret and left Santa Anna for Harvard to get her MBA. Both Cash and Quinn struggle to get over their relationship, when a near tragic incident reunites them. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult audiences.
I like Cash’ character. His situation shows how your life can instantly change from one bad decision. He really is a good guy. It was horrible what happened. He goes through a lot and matures throughout the story. Quinn is an honorable character. She is talented and smart. She has been hurt and afraid to trust again. The two are good for one another. They make each other stronger. I love how Cash appreciates Quinn and always gets her the perfect gift. He knows her, just like she knows him.
I enjoyed the plot. PERFECT LOVE is a heartwarming and believable story. Daniela, Hilton, and Aiden cause some interesting conflicts. If you haven’t already read book one, PERFECT SENSE I recommend reading that first. You will have a better appreciation for the story. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
He’s gorgeous.
He’s reckless.
And he’s every woman’s dirty fantasy in the state of California.., except one… Quinn
Ashby.
Recent graduate of Penn and top of her class, Quinn is whip smart, ambitious and interning as the new marketing coordinator for the Bexley Bruisers American Hockey League team. The last thing she needs is to waste her time on guys…especially one as lethal to her focus as Cash Brooks.
But once the bad boy hockey star tempts her into his world, threatening her professional future, she’s forced to decide whether to let him into her heart…or to leave him behind forever.
Hosted By:
Quinn and Cash's eyes meet when her sister drags her to a hockey game to see the hottie star player. Little does she know, she will become said player's obsession. He is hot, and the attraction is even hotter!
Cash has had it rough. He is trying to stay clean, sharp, and get back on the NHL team. Meeting Quinn and falling for her is not in the plans. She has plans of her own. How will this work?
Together they make the sparks leap off the page! This is a powerful story, with amazingly complex characters. I loved the banter, the heat and most of all the HEA! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Amanda Cowen’s Perfect Sense is just that – perfect. Quinn Ashby gets a job as a marketing coordinator intern for the Bexley Bruisers AHL team. She has goals and the last thing she wants is to be distracted by bad boy/hockey star Cash Brooks. However, Cash is determined to win over Quinn. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for new adult and adult audiences. It primarily takes place in California.
I like Quinn. She is a smart and determined woman. She is no stranger to hockey being the daughter of a Hall of Famer. Cash was an NHL Star who was sent down to the AHL for constant misconduct. His attitude was caused by a tragedy. After getting to know each other, Cash begins to open up to Quinn; while Quinn starts to reevaluate her priorities and goals in life. Cowen does a great job with her character development. We learn a lot about both characters as well as witnessing their growth.
I found it amusing how Cash and Quinn first meet. I like Cash’s nickname for Quinn. I appreciated that she does not automatically give into Cash’s charm. He has to work for her attention. The photo shoot was an interesting turn of events.
Because the book is told from Quinn’s point of view, I feel like it took me a while to like Cash. Initially, I would have liked to hear the story from both Quinn’s and Cash’s points of view. However, as the story continued, I thought it was a good move on the author’s part to tell the narrative only from Quinn’s POV because the reader gets to know Cash the same way Quinn does. We see him the way everyone perceives him.
I enjoyed the plot. There were a lot of things that happened and were built upon. The story was believable and full of various emotions. Perfect Sense made me laugh and cry. This is the first book that I have read by Amanda Cowen. I really enjoyed her style. This is one of those books I could not get out of my head. The ending was heartbreaking, and I am dying to read the next book.
