Bear shifter Tayme has called the Amazing Adventures Safari Park home his whole life. He and his family, along with the members of his sleuth, live underneath the park in secret. The fact that shifters own and run the park is a well-guarded secret from humans, who don’t know about their existence, but it makes for some pretty lonely shifters. Tayme’s hoping to find his soulmate someday, but he doesn’t know where to look. All he can do is rely on fate and keep his fingers crossed that she’ll show up sooner rather than later.

Red fox shifter Rory is an oddity, an orphan living with the owl shifters who killed her family. When her best friend Jessica is injured during a flight and winds up in the arms of her soulmate, Rory is the only one in the entire nest who supports her. On a trip to visit her bestie, she’s carted off into the woods by a huge male, and she knows she’s found the one male on the planet meant for her.

While Tayme’s family and sleuth welcome her with open arms, the owl nest is anything but welcoming. A meet up with her adoptive parents ends in bloodshed, and Rory feels like she’s once again an orphan. Until strangers come knocking on the park’s front gate one dark night and offer her a chance to be with her own kind again. When faced with the decision, will she remain in the zoo or leave?

This romance is another fabulous ‘Were Zoo’ experience as Tayme and Rory fight for their happily ever after. The romance between these two is ice cream sweet and spicy hot and readers can’t help but fall for these two strong, captivating characters and they work toward their future.

The plot is fast paced and full of suspense and excitement as the owl shifters do their best to pull Tayme and Rory apart. And with a stunning twists the excitement builds even more when Rory has to make the decision whether to remain in the zoo or if they will leave. The stories in the ‘Were Zoo’ series may be on the short side, but each and every one is delightful, warmhearted reads that makes readers smile, they are serious but with a fun side and every visit is full of thrills and sexy weres.

Readers can take a delight, charming and suspenseful trip to the zoo in this paranormal shifter romance. Jessica and Auden are strong, captivating shifters that easily draw readers to them and then charm their way into readers’ hearts. The romance is sweet and sizzles with lots of electrical chemistry and passion but the relationship is not a walk in the park as species differences and family demands get in their way. The suspense builds throughout this fast paced story as betrayals place everyone in danger. I can never visit the Were Zoo enough as the concept itself is unique and quite fascinating and full of appealing characters that win me over every time, so while this story may be on the short side it is quite an enjoyable and energetic read that keeps readers glued to its pages.
