This book was just the worst book for me. The narrator grated on my nerves. The two Main Characters stayed in the "Too stupid to live" zone. The inner dialog, repetitive inner dialog, idiotic inner dialog. This went on for more than 1/2 the book. I wanted to throw my iPod to make it stop. Yes, I was stupid enough to finish it.

This is a great book. Set shortly after the Civil War in Texas.  I couldn't help but think what a good movie it would make.
