Two Night Stand
Two Night Stand - Ellis Carrington

Short and sweet. This freebie is low on the angst, big on the steam and a very delightful read for in between. Two strangers that meet, like each other and in the end get more than they thought. Definitely recommended if you're looking for something easy on the heart, that's not too deep.

Jackson's Law
Jackson's Law - Vanessa North

Dear Author,
I’ve always had a thing for moles. Don’t know what it is about them, they just do it for me. I’ve been through a bit of a dry spell, so it kind of grates that my roommate’s asshole of a brother is a wet dream come true. Better to stay away and keep to myself— but then this happens, drunk and smirking, this is what he shows me.
Yes, I want him all over me, but this can only end in tears, right?

That was a fun little read. Funny, sexy and a tiny bit angsty. All in all very enjoyable, but nothing ground-breaking. Just a light short story for in between.

Taxes and TARDIS
Taxes and Tardis - N.R. Walker

3.5 stars

A short little novella about Brent, the hot laid-back client, and Logan, the insecure geeky accountant.

It was hot, it way funny, it was sweet and I liked it. It might almost be considered a classic in M/M novellas; it sure is THE poster story for 'opposites attract'.

It might feel a little too smooth and fast at one point, but too artificially angsty and problematic later, but that's what you get. It's a little drama in a longer short story, so it's fine. And very well written, as you can expect from NR Walker.

All in all a nice extra on the side when you're stuck on a book hangover or just need something light and fast.

Epiphany
Epiphany - J.L. Merrow

Dear Ms Merrow,
Why, why do you do this to me?
Make me fall in love with a story, want to know all about the MCs, want to see it all happen and how it's going to continue. Want to know more of the interesting side characters and then, then...it just ends. * sobs dramatically*

Just like my beloved Al in Muscling Through I just want MORE!
This is a great little story, cute and fun and full of potential, I would LURV to have another little story to catch up with them.

I love Jay too
Loving Jay - Renae Kaye

I wasn't sure about this book, but Dani said give it a go, and then Lexi read it at the same time, so I figured this is a sign I should read it.

As I've said before. I can not read anything heavy, sad or angsty at the moment. I want sweet and funny and cute.
This was perfect.
Liam isn't gay, he says that a lot, repeatedly. But...there is this guy on his train every morning....but he isn't gay...yeah right.
Jay, well he is a colorful, energetic and very gay guy.
I loved Jay, I loved Liam's inner dialog, he's funny and his thoughts are entertaining and had me smiling.
The families are crazy but good, it has a bit of serious but not too much.
I will definitely keep an eye out for more from this author.
