Saving Alexander - Susan Mac Nicol

This was a tough one. Alex went through so much and has been punishing himself for years when he meets Sage, the actor in the TV series based on a book Alex wrote. The two men connect almost immediately, although Sage has a tough time dealing with mixed signals in the beginning. I liked seeing Alex's confidence grow with Sage's love, and my heart broke when he had a set back. The mystery bit was a bit predictable, but I wasn't reading for that so I didn't much care. I will be reading more from this author.

Saving Alexander
Saving Alexander - Susan Mac Nicol I enjoyed this book with only a few minor issues.

What I did appreciate, and so often don't see in books where there is some sort of BDSM as therapy/healing storyline, is that Alex is actually seeing a therapist to work on his issues and she is aware of his sessions and talks about them as part of her counselling.

As far as Alex and Sage, I enjoyed them as a couple, but sometimes felt Sage was just too perfect. Considering the way his prior relationships ended, I found it hard to believe that he could be so accepting of Alex and Eric's sessions.

The mystery aspect of the book was well paced and kept me interested. It was an overall an entertaining read and I look forward to reading more from Susan MacNicol in the future.

Saving Alexander
Saving Alexander - Susan Mac Nicol Working together on a daily basis, Sage and Alex develop a relationship that grows into more than either one of them expected. Susan Mac Nicol does an excellent job of deepening their relationship. She has funny moments, serious share-your-heart’s-deepest-desires moments, angry moments and moments of truth. It is one of these moments of truth that causes the most trouble in Sage and Alex’s relationship.
