To avoid clogging up the Reviews section with double postings, I'm linking to his original review instead of reblogging it.

Great Fantasy Adventure- #2 in the series
The Girl with the Solar Eyes - Dylan Saccoccio,Hilary Merrill,Marco Ivancic

This book took me on quite the ride, there were parts were I was shocked and others I was laughing out loud. For a second in the series, I'm delighted to say that this book was even better than the first. The writing itself was even more inviting than before, the amazing descriptions and wordings just reel you in into this world. I loved the Bannitlarn brothers, they reminded me of the lost boys from Peter Pan, which probably sounds like a funny comparison. These guys are kinda like silly kids living in a harsh world where they need to be able to conquer whatever comes at them. Aithein himself has really changed in this book as well, he's becoming more worldly and sure of himself. In the last book, he was still a kid at heart with plenty of questions that made him seem a bit detached, but that changes.

This part of the story has a lot more mystery to it because the story expands an starts to include an even larger cast. There's also more of an adventure aspect to this book because of the additional story-lines that take you to different places. Your not just reading about Aithein or his parents anymore, your kinda reading about the changing of the kingdoms and what's to come.

I really enjoyed the story, and would recommend it to my fantasy loving friends. This series does really encompass the whole medieval world mixed with The Hobbit meets dark magic with some elements that remind of me fae legends. Once you read the story, you'll immediately know what I mean;).

What Indies I'm Reading This Week-Jan.12+
The Girl with the Solar Eyes - Dylan Saccoccio,Hilary Merrill,Marco Ivancic
The Day Human Prince - B. Kristin McMichael
Slightly Stalky: A Romantic Comedy Walks Into a Bar... (Slightly Series Book 1) - Amy Vansant
No Ifs, Ands, or Bears About It: Paranormal BBW Romance (Grayslake) (Volume 1) - Celia Kyle
Taken By The Huntsman - Mistral Dawn,Erin Dameron-Hill

To start with, I'm working on The Tale of Onora: The Girl With The Solar Eyes by Dylan Saccoccio , this one is very Lord of the Rings meets Wheel of Time feeling. I really enjoyed the first book in the series which was The Tale of Onora:The Boy and the Peddler of Death.

I'm reviewing a copy of The Day Human Prince by B. Kristin McMichael from the publisher. This is a spin-off series of The Blue Eyes Trilogy- I just loved. The Day Human series is focusing on Devin now, who was completely raised in the vampire world an trained to be Ari's bodyguard. In the final book of the Blue Eyes book, Devin makes a deal, this is his story.

I'm also planning on doing a re-reading Slightly Stalky: A Romantic Comedy Walks into a Bar by Amy Vansant. Slightly Stalky is a fun light-hearted comedy that's a great 'escape' book. Vansant always makes me laugh with her quirky characters, specially those from Angeli-The Pirate, The Angel and the Irishman

I bought these awhile ago an really want to get to them as well:

No Ifs, Ands, or Bears About It by Celia Kyle, I'm always hearing great things about this series, so that's been stirring up my curiosity.

Taken By The HunstMan by Mistral Dawn. I just love faeries. They're totally my guilty pleasure and a story all about the Erlking, you best believe I'm gonna be all over that.

I'm planning on finishing these all this week, maybe I wont, maybe I will. Never know;)!

Powerful Fantasy That Pulls You In!
The Boy and the Peddler of Death - Dylan Saccoccio,Falon Alexander-Brink,Virginie Carquin

This book definitely reminds me of the Hobbit story, but instead of the focus on Bilbo its focused on Thorin. Just less orc an gobliny, if you will. I did enjoy it, I thought it was well written and very creative. For a fantasy it was well paced as your being drawn into the story. As with most fantasy novels your going to have a lot of unusual terms and names, which does add to the story, so if your looking for a Bob or a Brittney, your not gonna find it.

The Tale of Onora starts out introducing a man called Woden Caliph who's a nutcase if you ask me. He's bent on destroying people who most would consider "free thinkers". He's a magic user who's ruthlessly destroying kingdoms and entire races of people. This introduction is pretty important because it changes the entire world, which leads into the rest of the story. I'm considering this to be like the prestory, an explaining this because I noticed a few people who weren't sure how this all connected. Woden is the cause for how the world is in Aitheins time.

The story then focuses on a boy called Aithein Shadowlight who's the son of a Nordac royal woman named Olwyn. Aithein leaves his mother though to be trained by his father, and become a more powerful magic user. There are better terms used in the book, but I'm not going to get into that.

If you wanna know what comes next, your going to have to read it for yourself. I'm not gonna give anymore away, I just wanted to clear a few things up;). On a side note, this book does jump POVs so you get a better understanding of the world an story. I don't think its hard to follow, but you do need to pay attention to catch all the little details that connect the dots. That was one of my favorite things in this book, I loved picking up on the subtle hints.

Altogether, I think the author is extremely talented and has a very unique story on his hands. Maybe this will be the next Lord of the Rings or even Wheel of Time story, who knows. Honestly though, I think the descriptions in this book are far better an paint a better picture of whats happening. I'm glad I picked this up, and will probably pick the next one up as well. I'd recommend this to fantasy lovers, and to readers who want a story thats a bit more involved.

As of 1/10/15 this is on sale at Amazon.com
