Hayden Somerset is convinced the ad is a joke, but he responds anyway because, hello, $1.2 million. He’s broke, living in a tiny apartment with two roommates, and exhausted from praying his ancient car survives just one more week. Anything, including marrying a stranger so his father will make good on his promise to disown Jesse if he ever takes a husband.

Review

I love a good Marriage of Con plot and this book delivers. 

Hayden and Jesse are a good match and the reasons for the marriage are intersting. 

There is a bit of repeating of ideas (Hayden's poverty) that take up space which could have been used for better elements but I did enjoy the look at what the true impact of such a set of action might be.

I liked that Hayden had a support network and it was good to see Jesse's character grow. 

There are some plot strings that dangle but overall an enjoyable read.

Hayden is just about down to his last dollar.  Looking at the want ads, since he needs a miracle or another job, he finds something surprising.  Then he meets the writer and is in shock.

Jesse is desperate enough to offer quote a bit of money to someone who can handle the job.  When Hayden responds, it is like it was meant to be.  Now they just have to make it work and get the evidence to make all this worth it.

This book is a surprise from the beginning to the end.  Lots of little things to enjoy inside!  I loved the banter.  I loved the pace moved quickly.  I also loved the raw honesty these characters tried so hard to maintain without hurting one another.  Such a great story and a good old fashioned read.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
