Vampire Seeker Blog Tour + Giveaway
Vampire Seeker - Tim O'Rourke

The first in the self-published paranormal series that is already an online sensation!

Samantha "Sammy" Carter thinks that the recent murders of four women in Whitechapel is committed by a vampire. The gruesome murders are identical to the murders of Jack the Ripper a hundred years ago. Is there a copycat or is Jack the Ripper back?

Sammy is desperate to prove that the killer is a vampire and one night she follows the killer on the night tube train. But she blacks out after an encounter with the killer and wakes up in the wild west. How and why did she end up there and will she ever get back home?

Vampires, Jack the Ripper and time-traveling. What an amazing combination. This book was really entertaining to read and I enjoyed Sammy's experience in the wild west. Not only is she far from home she is also a bit lost in time and now she has to get used to not only that vampires is really real, but that for reasons she can't understand she was send back in time.

When Sammy wakes up in the wild west she is a bit groggy and also in danger, but lucky for her, the Preacher show up in the right time to help her out. The Preacher isn't alone. He is traveling with Louise, Harry and Zoe and they are not an ordinary group of people; they are vampire hunters. She also feels that there is something mysterious about them, beside the fact that they are vampire hunters.

This book was entertaining to read and even though I'm a bit sick and tired of the whole vampire genre really liked Tim O'Rourke's wild west theme with time travel. Also, having added Jack the Ripper to the mix was very interesting, The ending wasn't that surprising, but I enjoyed reading the book and I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Vampire Seeker
Vampire Seeker - Tim O'Rourke
This book literally took my breathe away! My head is literally spinning from everything that went on.

Short recap Samantha was on the underground chasing someone she believed to be a vamp, she gets attacked and wakes up in the 1800's, were she has skills she never knew she had and a Preacher willing to let her tag along with him and his friends.

Tim's writing really flows and is more like watching a movie, as soon as it's grabbed you your done for as you just have to find out whats going on, who everyone is and why, trouble was every time I thought I had it worked out, it twisted.

I found samantha really interesting and amusing, some of the things she thinks and comes out with made me laugh, but who wouldn't need a sense of humour in her situation!

There's such a variety of characthers, I have to admit I did like Harry, his arrogant yes, but he has a certain charm.

I will be adding the rest of this series to my reading list as was an extremely good read and had me oohing and saying 'what' all the way through.

Word of warning no vampires sparkle in this book, also contains gore......

5 vampy and racey stars.

Vampire Seeker (Samantha Carter Series, #1) - Tim O'Rourke This is the first book by Tim O'Rourke that I've read. Jumping on the band wagon late has its advantages though. Mainly, I get to go back and see what I've been missing if I run into an author that sparks my interest. I'm happy to say that I can now add O'Rourke to that list.I wasn't quite sure what to expect from Vampire Seeker and even if I had a preconceived notion, I wouldn't have come close. This book was like no other Vampire book that I've read, at least not that I remember. It was an interesting combination of historical Western, mystery, time travel, a touch of vivid gore, vampires, danger for everyone involved, shape shifters and romance. You also shouldn't pick this one up expecting smexy vampires. O'Rourke's are anything but smexy. These vamps are straight out of your worst nightmare. *shivers* Needless to say, nothing about this book was what you would expect and sometimes that's a very good thing. The characters were interesting, to say the least. There was plenty of action, lots of mystery and enough twists and turns to keep readers wondering up until almost the very end exactly who the good guys and bad guys really were. Throw in a hot little romance and there was more than enough packed into this book to keep almost any reader's interest.Just a warning, even though Vampire Seeker doesn't end in a huge cliff hanger, it does end leaving readers with a gnawing desire to know what could possibly happen next. Needless to say, I will be watching for the second installment.

Vampire Seeker (Samantha Carter Series, #1) - Tim O'Rourke *Genre* Adult Fantasy, Vampires, Werewolves*Rating* 4.0*Review*Tim O'Rourke enters the adult paranormal realm with a new story that captures the imagination with time travel, suspense, smexy romance, and a new brand of vampire called the Vrykolakas. Since I enjoyed Kiera Hudsons series so much, I figured there would be a few surprises along the way with this new installment as well. I wasn’t wrong. The surprise came with the ending and I’m already screaming for the next book.Samantha (Sammy) Carter is a 22-year old wannabe Criminologist who is trying to prove the existence of vampires. Sammy decides that her life is boring and ends up trailing a man who is suspected of killing 4 women in the last 3 months. While the media seems to believe this suspect is a Jack the Ripper rip-off, Sammy believes he may actually be something supernatural. After following her suspected killer into London’s subway station and being chased by the police, Sammy meets mystery man who seems to know all about her and tells her that she’s forgotten about him. Sammy soon finds herself in another place and time (1888 Colorado), trying to figure out how she got there in the first place, and what she needs to do in order to get back to her own time (2012). Sammy realizes that she’s become something of a cowgirl with guns and the whole wardrobe and is extremely fast at the draw. Subsequently Sammy meets Preacher, Louise Pearson, Zoe Edgar, and Harrison (Harry) Turner who has been labeled this books Potter by various reviewers across the spectrum. They are a group of vampire hunters who claim to have lost someone close to them. There are a few surprises as the true identities of Preachers gangs of misfits are revealed and Sammy comes face to face with the supposed real Jack the Ripper.Tim actually did an amazing job in world building for this book. The detail it took, including the actual setting of Colorado and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, was straight up awesome. He also created a fairly likable character in Sammy who learns more than a few things about her own unique abilities as she travels back in time to find the mysterious Jack the Ripper. Alas, Tim leaves us on the hook with the ending of this book so we don't know what is in store for Sammy on her return back to her own time. In conclusion, if you've read any of Tim's other series, you will definitely want to read this one as well. As a warning, this book is highly graphic in regards to the detail that Tim chooses to tell his story with. I would also recommend that adults over the age of 18 read this book because of the nature of the sexual encounter Sammy has with another character.
