Male Characters That I've Broken Up With

This is a list of male characters that I thought I was in love with while reading the book, or the series, but looking back on it I'm not as in love with them as I once thought.  This doesn't mean I don't like these characters, as I'll explain my feelings toward them in the later part of this post.

***Remember these are all my own opinions, and I don't mean offence to anyone in anyway.  This post is just meant to be fun.***

Augustus Waters (The Fault In Our Stars)- Don't get me wrong, I loved him while I was reading the book.  I felt all the feels that everyone else does, but after finishing the book.  We grew apart.  Other characters came into my life.  I moved on.  We'll always be friends, we just aren't meant for each other.

Tobias Eaton (Divergent)- Four... Four old pall.  I thought I had a crush on you, in the first book.  You were the mysterious, kick butt guy.  You stole my heart withing pages, and then when Insurgent came around... You weren't who I thought you were.  You changed, I changed.  We just didn't click anymore.  And that's that.

Stefan Salvatore (The Vampire Diaries)- When I began reading the Vampire Diaries back in 2011 I was completely team Stefan.  I thought he was the cat's meow.  I shipped Stelena all the way.  By the time the spin off series The Return came, Stefan became whiny and weak in a lot of senses, and because of this, and other factors, I haven't been able to finish the series.

Ezra Fitz (Pretty Little Liars)- In the beginning I was all for Aria and Ezra, but as the series went on and things happened he really got on my nerves.  Since the beginning of the first book when Noel was first introduced I wanted him and Aria to get together.  But she was just so consumed with Ezra that she didn't really see anyone else.  And I found Ezra a bit sleazy throughout the series...

Daniel Grigori (Fallen)- This was my first angel novel and OMIGOSH he's a fallen angel! That is so sexy! Ahhh! But seriously he was only cool for like the first book.  He became a tad bit selfish, whiny, and too mushy gushy "I love you so much Luce, we can't be together but you can never be with anyone else. I need you so much but I'm going to put myself first in this relationship. Kay?" Give me a break.  I like Cam so much better than you.  At least his character has some depth and he has the whole bad boy thing going on.

Eli Stock (Along for the Ride)- I've never felt the emotional connection to Eli that I did to Sarah Dessen's other characters, not saying that I didn't like him because I did very much, he just didn't compare to Wes or Owen from her other novels.  He was one of the first male love interests that I read about back in 2011 and the world of reading and contemporary was new to me, so he'll always be special to me in that way, but I love him more like a brother nowadays.

Sam Roth (Shiver)- In the first installment of the Shiver Trilogy I thought Sam was cute.  I read this way, way back in the sixth grade maybe... So like 2010... ish? So I didn't know much about male characters and just how sexy they can be.  Sam was cute, and sweet and I really did like him.  But then Cole St.Clair happened.  He still sits on my list of crushes.  He completely blew Sam out of the water.  He was the bad boy rock star.  I have a thing for the bad boys, and Sam just couldn't keep up.

Peeta Mellark (The Hunger Games)-  And then we have Peeta.  The sweet, caring, boy with the bread.  I wanted to love him throughout the novel because everyone else seemed to love him.  I was never able to reach that level of emotional connection with him that I've felt with my favorite characters.  Peeta was a nice guy, but not the right guy for me.  But that's okay, he's got lots of fangirls all over the world who love him.

Allegiant by Veronica Roth Book Review/Rant
Allegiant - Veronica Roth

I'm now gonna review and rant about Allegiant by Veronica Roth, which is the last book in the Divergent Trilogy. There are gonna be a heck load of spoilers and me ranting about the ending and how I hated it, so if you haven't read the book, then you've been warned.

So in this book Tris, Tobias, and their friends go outside the fence to see basically what is out there.

I'm going to talk about my favorite parts of the book first before I start ranting about why it still makes me cry even though I read it in November.

I love Tris and Tobias in this book. The Fourtris scenes were, without a doubt, the best parts of the book. And since they fought a lot in the last book, seeing them act more couple-y together is really sweet, and very...steamy at times. After all the crap Tris and Tobias went through in the last two books they've deserved a break.

Uriah and Christina were awesome, but then again there's never a time when Uriah isn't awesome. I was kind of shipping Christina and Uriah in this book because they've definitely became closer in this book, but apparently this isn't the case. I also loved Zeke way more then I used to.

I liked Tobias's POV, and didn't really have any trouble telling him and Tris apart. The only times that I did have trouble was when I stoped reading in the middle of a chapter and I didn't know who's POV I was in.

And high five to Tris's mom for being so awesome!

NOW HERE COMES THE RANT!

Caleb was annoying! I seriously didn't want him around! I admit it, A part of me didn't want him to die because he the member of Tris's family who was alive, but I still don't like him.

I hate Marcus so much. I was confused because Veronica Roth said that she really needed him for this book and implied that he was gonna be important, but he was only in three scenes and barley said more than, i don't know, twenty sentences! I feel like he needed to go. The same with Peter. Peter, like, didn't do anything!

And then Torl died. To be honest since she was not that big a character I kind of saw her death coming, I didn't cry or anything but I still didn't like it.

AND WAS IT REALLY NECESSARY TO KILL URIAH?!?!?!?!?!?! REALLY?! REALLY?!?!?!?! THAT WAS SO NOT OKAY!!! NOT OKAY AT ALL!!!

And now for the moment we've been dreading (or I've been dreading, at least): Tris's death. I just want to say that that was absolutely undoubtedly one hundred percent NOT OKAY!!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, her sacrificing herself for her brother was nice, and so was her seeing her mom. But that doesn't mean I have to like and/or except the fact that Tris is dead! As a huge Fourtris shipper I was not okay with this! Even if I didn't ship them (though why would I?) I still wouldn't be okay with this. You don't kill off your main character! And Tris and Tobias deserved to be together, after all the stuff they went through they deserved a break!

And why is there suddenly a love triangle?! Who else hated Nita? Matthew was okay for me, to me he didn't seem like a real threat to Fourtris.

And the epilogue broke my hearts even more. I know that some people like the epilogue, but I didn't like it at all. Instead of making me feel better it rubbed salt in my wounds.

Even though this book broke my heart and I hate the ending, I can't honestly say that I hated the book no matter how much I want to, which is so frustrating! Am I'm gonna go through something like this again when I read Mockingjay?

Well, that's it for now.

Insurgent by Veronica Roth Book Review!
Insurgent - Veronica Roth

I am FINALLY going to review Insurgent by Veronica Roth, which is the second book in the Divergent Trilogy. This is one of my favorite books in the trilogy. It's just as good as the first book.

The book takes place right after the last book, In which Tris and Tobias/Four are trying to find allies to fight with against the Erudite.

Tris in this book is still torn over the deaths of her parents and Will. She's contently putting herself  in danger, which usually doesn't involve a gun.

Tobias is awesome!  He doesn't like the fact that Tris keeps running into danger. Tris and Tobias fight a lot in this book, which I wasn't so happy about. I didn't want them to fight. It was painful to read. But they both made very good points.

And we can't forget Uriah, Marlene, and Lynn.  Uriah was amazing as always.  I'm really happy we get to see more of him in this book. I love him! I like that we see more of Marlene and Lynn. I love the part when Uriah and Marlene kiss! I started shipping them but then Veronica Roth threw that ship out the window (so not okay!). When I first read Divergent I did not like Lynn; she did not make a good first impression on me. But by this book I started to like  her a little over the course of this book. I like that she started treating Tris like she was Dauntless, she kind of treats her as an equal. Which I liked.

I also really love Zeke and Shauna! I ship them hard. We also got to see a little bit more of Tori in this book.

And Caleb easily became one of my least favorite characters of the series.

This book was amazing, but I don't like that a few of my favorite characters died. Really, Veronica Roth? Really?!

DIVERGENT by Veronia Roth Book Review
Divergent - Veronica Roth

Today I'm doing a review for DIVERGENT by Veronica Roth. I love this book! This is the best dystobian book I've ever read.

In this book there are five factions: Dauntless, the brave. Abnegation, the self-less. Amity, the peaceful. Candor, the honest. Erudite, the intelligent. And once you turn sixteen you have to take an aptitude test to find out which faction you belong to.

Beatrice is from Abnegation but she transfers to Dauntless and changes her name to Tris. She's an awesome character. I kind of wish I was more like her.

I LOVE Four!  He is fantastic!  He's hot, strong, brave, smart, etc.  The FourTris scenes in this book were amazing. [spoiler] I also love how Four liked Tris since she arrived at Dauntless.  And When he said "I'm getting a little tired waiting for you to catch on." and I was like oh my gosh!  He likes her!  He likes her!  He Likes her!

I also love Tris's friends Christina, Will, Al and Uriah.

Cristina is, like, the opposite of Tris. Christina is more outgoing and Tris is kind of keeps to herself at first.

Will is one of Tris's best friends, and they sometimes argue about the politics in the factions. I love Will.  I ship Will and Christina.

Al is the clumsy, shy guy who cares a lot about Tris. I like Al, I think he's a sweet guy. I don't like what he did though.

But out of all of Tris's friends, I love Uriah the most. He's so awesome!  I love how he treats Tris like she'd been Dauntless all her life. I love him!

I also like Tori. I think she's a awesome character even though she doesn't do much in this book.

And does anyone else hate Peter? He seriously gets on my nerves. I don’t like Caleb and Marcus that much either.

I really like the world in the book. I don’t think the faction system is a good thing (look at where it’s good them), but I think the factions are interesting. I’d personally would like to live in Dauntless, but, lets be honest, I’d probably die.

The story it’s self is amazing. If I have to pick a favorite part, that isn’t a FourTris part, I have to pick chapter six, because in that chapter it’s right after the Choosing Ceremony and Tris is running with the Dauntless and jumping on the train, etc. I just love that scene.

Well, I said all I wanted to say.

Bye.

Free Four - 'Veronica Roth'

It's cool how Tobias sees Tris as strong and brave. He's honest with his thoughts and how he perceives Tris and that's what I like about him. Whereas other male protagonists in some books sees their love interest as pretty and kind and petite and... ugh I hate when guys are like that. I am pleased to read a story in Four's POV. Fourtris ftw!!!
