You're welcome! I'm glad my explanation made sense. :)
Thank you so much for all of the help everyone! You guys are great! I'll be done with another book soon and can't wait to try out all these tips. Hopefully, I'll get there. Thanks for everyone's kindness and patience with me as I learn the ropes:).
I took the lazy way out & did prompt #4 (1st book of the year). However, I started it in Dec. Does it still count?

Revival by Stephen King

Yes, it counts. I always use the date I finished the book.

Thanks for the link. I am sooo scared of Stephen King. The only book I've read by him is the fantasy he wrote for his daughter (and I really wish he'd written a sequel).
I found a book that fit all four prompts, so of course I had to read it. And then, of course, I had to have leftover lethargy from the holidays (too much turkey?) to actually get the review written until now, almost a week after I read it.

January Done!

I liked it, though, and given it has been sitting on my to-read list for almost a year, ever since a friend recommended it, I'm glad I finally got around to reading it. :)

The Eyes of the Dragon? I love that one! No sequel, but it is connected to his Dark Tower series. Admittedly, everything he wrote is at least kind of connected to his Dark Tower series.

That's great that you found a book that fit all four prompts!

Yes, it was Eyes of the Dragon. I only read it because I was assured it was not horror (though the evil one was pretty horrifying).

I really wanted a sequel to find out what happened to the bad brother.

I don't think I've ever read that one. I tried reading the Dark Tower series at least five times and got through book 1 but never could finish book 2. Just wasn't for me, I guess.
This book is the first in the series and the author is new to me.

Congratulations on completing the January prompt, Rabbit Reads!

Is that a horror book?

I'm so impressed! That is just awesome, Purr More.

Ooops!

I prepared my blog post, but it's not going live on my blog until Friday.

I created the discussion so I could add the link. I'm going to have to be more crafty next month!

It is. (Well, I consider it to be). I definitely recommend it.
I finished my first read of 2015- Elements of Style by Erin Gates, based on her blog. Now I'm reading the first in a series: Annihilation, Book 1 of The Southern Reach Trilogy by Jeff Vandermeer.
