Blog Tour - Never Been Good

About the Book:

Never Been Good
by Christi Barth

Series: Bad Boys Gone Good #2

Genre: Adult, Contemporary Romance

Publisher: Avon Impulse

Publication Date: April 3, 2018

Flynn Maguire isn’t really a bad guy. Sure, he worked for the mob, but he ran a legitimate business—on paper anyway—and it paid enough to keep his brother out of the lifestyle. Until they turned on him. Now he’s stuck in Witness Protection, tending bar in Nowheresville Oregon… and pissed the life he knew is gone.

The only bright spot? Fantasizing about his quiet, secretive, beautiful coworker.

Sierra Williams is a woman on the run. All she wants now is to settle into small town life… and ignore the brooding, sexy bartender who can’t seem to take his eyes off her. Flynn’s bad-boy vibe pushes all her buttons, but Sierra fell for the wrong man once already. She can’t afford to let her guard down again. Except Flynn’s tough exterior is slowly melting away to reveal the sweet man beneath and their attraction is too strong to resist.

Sierra and Flynn are falling fast, but they’re both keeping so many secrets. The truth could ruin everything… unless a girl who’s a little bad is perfect for a guy who’s never really been good.

Bad for Her (Bad Boys Gone Good) by Christi Barth
Bad for Her: A Bad Boys Gone Good Novel - Christi Barth

The beauty of a Christi Barth novel is the versatility of the voice behind them. Her characters are not afraid to show the foibles of humanity and that makes them relatable to me as a reader. Rafe is a man with a ton of baggage. His secrets have secrets. His past is full of bad decisions and dangerous situations, but in his heart he wants to be a better man. Will the stigma of his past ruin his chance for a brighter future? Bad For Her is a tale of prejudice, second chances and modern day lessons. Romance and wisdom are a sweet combination that Christi Barth always shines in.

El Diablo (The Devil): The Good Ol' Boys Spin Off - Frank M. Robinson

I love a good alpha, dominating, anti-hero & this book did not disappoint! This was the first book I've read by this author & I have to say, I was really impressed. I loved how the storyline started off when Alejandro Martinez was a teenager & progressed to where he is now. As a feared crime boss. The author did a great job showing how Martinez is who is, why he is that way & the events that made him into El Diablo. Not only was this story well written, it was sexy as hell! I also loved Lexi. She was a spitfire, really held her own & did not back down. Especially against Martinez. I have to say, who Lexi is threw me for a loop. I thought I had it figured out but, nope! The author did a great job with that little twist! This book is an amazing book, sexy AF & well written. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

Sonny's Salvation (The Goodtime Boys' #1) by Carol Lynne
Sonny's Salvation (Good-Time Boys) - Carol Lynne

“How easy it is to judge rightly after one sees what evil comes from judging wrongly!” ~ Elizabeth Gaskell

Sonny Good of 'Sonny's Salvation' runs a successful ranch in Summerville, Nebraska. which he took over when his father died. Sonny is openly gay, but there aren't many prospects in the small town and Sonny is lonely. He is past wanting one-night stands. He wants to build a life with someone. Just as he's about to give up and resign himself to being alone forever, he meets Garron, the new bartender in town, and things begin to look better.

Garron and Sonny's lust for each other burns bright from the beginning, but soon grows into something much stronger. The only real flaw is Sonny's dislike for Garron's brother, Jeb, who owns the ranch next to Sonny's. Sonny always thought the previous owner would sell it to him, not some stranger who doesn't know what he's doing. Garron is very loyal to his brother and won't tolerate Sonny badmouthing him, so they try to work around it. When things start to heat up between them, Garron insists that Sonny and his brother, Rawley, come to dinner to meet Jeb, and attempt to come to some kind of truce. Being blunt, Sonny comes right out and asks Jeb about why Jack, the former owner, sold the ranch to Jeb instead of him. When Jeb tells him the story of why it happened, Sonny “felt like a Grade A bastard.” After this revelation, and clearing the air, Sonny offers his help and advice in the future.

This is a short story introducing the characters to a new series and leaves a lot of questions unanswered. I'm pretty sure they will be dealt with in the upcoming stories to follow. Even though I didn't get to learn much about Sonny and Garron, I liked that they could be so open with their passion and their emotions. They are men who know what they want, and go after it. Thanks, Carol, for what looks like a promising new series.
