Freeing Jasper: A Black Ops Romance (The 707 Freedom Series Book 2) - Riley Edwards

This is book #2, in the Black Ops/707 Freedom Series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment, and to avoid spoilers - I recommend reading this series in order.

Emily has been through so much in the past.  She is actually surprised to find herself attracted to Jasper in the first place.  With her future looking uncertain, she is cautious in her reaction to him.

Jasper is made of protective alpha male.  Even if he didn't work in a dangerous field, he would always want to serve and protect.  Now that he needs to protect Emily, his chance with her has arrived.  Now, if only he can convince her.

This book was kind of a slow burn.  Even with the fast pace of the story, the romantic and sexy side was kind of like sweet chocolate melting on the tongue.  With a sexy weave throughout, the characters really show us how even while life throws you a curve, that love can heal.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Breakfast in Bed (The Innkeepers) - Rochelle Alers

I want Gage! Can I find a human with his character traits? Tonya and Gage's relationship is realistic, mature and slow (for romance novel). So nice to revisit the ladies friendship and to read about all the yummy Louisiana Cuisine. I'm a foodie and need to visit The Big Easy in the near future.

Forbidden - Beverly Jenkins

I can't express my excitement in seeing the email that I was approved for this book after waiting over two months! I will admit that after the first month of no notification, I requested it again thinking that they'd forgotten about me. Lol

I love Beverly Jenkins historical romances. I've read over 7 of them. My elder sister gave me one of her books to read and that was that. Their won't be any sleep happening tonight as I know this will be a page turner. Ms. Jenkins never disappoints. I don't think she will this time either.

Thank you Harper Collins, Avon Books, Edelweiss and Pam Jaffee.

Angels Landing - Rochelle Alers

I've started this series out of sequence. I'd requested this one for review, but when approved I went to download and it was already archived. So, I just kept going. Now I am going backwards, before I finish Magnolia Drive, to read Angels Landing. I had to purchase AL because my sister started the series on Sunday and realized books were missing. She too was reading them out of sequence.

*My brain not on A game today. Please forgive jumbled ramble, but I will keep trying.

Magnolia Drive - Rochelle Alers

I'm glad to be back visiting friends from previous books. I love the small island and the people on it. I want to live there myself. I'm reading the 4th book after reading the 5th. So, even though I know what's to come, I'm enjoying the journey.
