The cover drew me, but the characters made me want to stick around. Max and Mia are comedic gold. Martin kept me in stiches with her quick wit and wicked sense of humor. She's makes it hard not to love, a character that you so want to hate. The chemistry between Max and Mia is a character all it's own. From passionately volatile to temptation personified, these characters keep you on your toes and always craving more. Glad I took a chance on this delightful author.
We have to plow through the ugly to create something beautiful. Breaking the Rules is the roadway to something beautiful. Kaswell takes an unpredictable environment and keeps it real. Emotions are messy. Hearts get broken. Mistakes get made, but it's the heart we risk that can heal us in the end. Love at it's most tragic is when it shows the greatness of it's power. Through empathy and faith love helps us learn to heal.
Trevor is as untamed at the spirited beasts, he seeks to breed. With the soul of a cowboy and a name like Wild, Ms. North takes readers on a fiery ride of passion, romance and compromise. Ms. North has a way of making an often used scenario (opposites attract) seem like uncharted territory.
This is the 14th book in the Uniformly Hot series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. I recommend reading series books in order for better understanding.
Sophia & Max meet under less than typical circumstances. He promised her brother he would look in on her. She is sick of being babied by another brother or friend.
Max just wants to pay his brother in arms back by doing a simple favor. How did he know the sister he was to check up on was seriously hot? His attraction aside, she needs him.
This was an amazingly hot and sexy story! I love the banter. The pages literally sizzle there is so much chemistry. Really fun read. Great addition to the series too. I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Best Friends with Benefits by Candy Sloane

Valerie and Alec have been best friends for a long time. With the exception of being attracted to one another, there have been no hiccups in their friendship. Honesty is one of the best things they love about each other.
Alec is now a rock star and loved by all. Going to their high school reunion, he is the most popular person there. Val is still on the outside. Or is she? He kisses her and the walls start to break down.
Val is unaware he is secretly in love with her all this time. Keeping their friendship has been the most important thing for both of them. All they have is each other.
Such a rewarding and amazing story! This book has everything. I was especially proud of the best friend aspect, and how it plays out.
