ARC REVIEW Hero's Haven by Rebecca Zanetti

Hero's Haven (Dark Protectors #11)Dark Protectors #11, The story of the seven continue on, it is best if you start at the beginning or at least Vampire's Faith (#8) which is the start of this story arc. When we last saw Quade his world was on the brink of collapse, Haven a special woman who has the ability to travel to other worlds in her dreams has seen Quade, talked to him. Haven doesn't always have control of where she goes but she was lucky enough to get to Quade before his world collapsed and somehow brought him back with her. Quade is thrust in to modern times and unlike his brother who had the help of Siri to adjust Quade is figuring this out on his own with Haven's help, his favorite thing is toothpaste.

On the run from human police and the Kurjian are the least of their problems when Haven's past finds her and tries it's best to take her way from Quade with the help a creepy shifter. But that's just the beginning. The Kurjian and the Cyst are still hot on the Seven's tail and the big bad is closer than ever to breaking free and it's up to Haven to stop it from happening.

The romance between Quade and Haven starts really nice, they have great chemistry but once it gets to the whole have to mate to protect her I lose interest, normally I love oblivious guys but Quade is just being too stubborn for his own good and it gets tiresome. The ending was brilliant though, I really liked how this one ended.

Overall, out of this new story arc this is definitely one of my favorites. It was action-packed and exciting from cover to cover. And Finally Grace and Adare's book is going to be next, well after the novella.

Great Story and Characters
Alpha's Promise (Dark Protectors #10) - Rebecca Zanetti

Though he has vampire, demon, and Viking blood rushing through his veins, Ivar Kjeidsen’s soul-crushing trip to hell broke him in ways he can barely fathom.  One vow keeps the deadly immortal standing: To rescue the vampire brother who had sacrificed freedom for him. To do that, Ivar needs the help of a brilliant physicist with wary brown eyes, fierce brilliance, and skin that's way too soft.

Dr. Promise Williams understands the underpinnings of the universe but has never figured out the human beings inhabiting it.   Her function is to think—and not feel—until she’s touched by a vampire who’s nowhere near human. The primal hunger in his eyes awakens feelings in her that defy calculation. As she shows him the way to step between worlds, he brands her with a pleasure that could last more than a lifetime.

I’m a pretty big fan of this series, so I was excited when I saw this book was coming out. I really enjoyed the book and the overarching story. I really loved Ivar and his readjustment to the world. I did have a problem with Promise, however. I know what the author was going for, it just didn’t really work for me.I still enjoyed the story though and look forward to the next one.

**I voluntarily read and reviewed this book

ARC REVIEW Alpha's Promise by Rebecca Zanetti

Alpha's Promise (Dark Protectors #10)Dark Protectors #10, I enjoyed this one for the most part. I'm excited for the direction this is going, The Seven working with the Demon Nation and The Realm to stop the big bad from being released and destroying everything they hold dear. I like the side story with little Hope Kylwood and her friends. What I didn't like was the romance, not romance sex, I like Ivar and I like Promise I just didn't like them together or I should say when they got it on. I guess I'm just over the whole dominance thing, ya know been there done that now it just triggers me. But the actual story was great.

Dr. Promise Williams is just the scientist they have been looking for and she's an enhanced. She's someone who can figure out how the transporting works and figure out a way to bring home safely their missing brother. Ivar Kjeidsen demon vampire hybrid survived jumping through countless hell worlds before finally finding his way home and it just made him all the more determined to bring back his brother, Quade, before his world collapses, literally not figuratively, in fact the prison world they trapped their big bad on is colliding with Quade's world. It's crunch time and the Kurjans aren't helping matter because it's their religious figure they are trying to release so they will stop at nothing to prevent the Seven from completing their tasks.

I liked Promise, she's logical and everything is math and very analytical. Half the time I figured she was a high functioning autistic with how she was around other people but with the parents she had it's no wonder she's that way. She was rational and listened when it came to her own protection she is Sooo not the TSTL heroine, that is probably what I liked the most. I'm however getting bored with Grace and Adare's bickering I wish their book was next but no it's not, frustrated sigh. Overall, it was a good read. Not really meant to be a stand alone I would suggest at least starting at Vampire's Faith for this story arc.

Alpha's Promise (Dark Protectors #10) - Rebecca Zanetti

Even with vampire, demon and Viking blood rushing through his veins, Ivar Kjeidsen’s soul crushing trip to hell broke him in ways he can barely fathom. Only the vow to rescue the vampire brother who sacrificed freedom for him keeps the deadly immortal standing, but in order to achieve that vow, he needs the help of the brilliant Dr. Promise Williams who understands the underpinnings of the universe but has never figured out the human beings inhabiting it.

This ‘Dark Protector’ romance is a stimulating, emotional, rocking and explosive read! Ivar and Promise are two wonderfully strong characters that stand out and obviously belong together and the romance between is sweet and full of feeling that warms readers’ hearts even as it confuses Promise’s. This hero and heroine is so very different but it is truly remarkable how much Ivar understands her and really and truly tries to make her comfortable with dominating alpha ways and he is oh so smexy!

The plot is fast paced and takes readers on truly fantastical and exhilarating journey through an emotionally gripping, thrillingly dangerous journey to rescue a friend. The rescue itself poses lots of danger for the rescuer but it also poses danger for all worlds which keeps the readers holding their breath in anticipation and excitement throughout this riveting and thrilling read, which might become a problem since readers can’t put the book down once they start reading it.

From New York Times bestselling author, Rebecca Zanetti, comes a new Dark Protectors/Rebels Novella…

Vengeance and revenge are the only forces driving vampire soldier Noah Siosal since losing his brother to an enemy he’s been unable to find. He’s searched every corner of the globe, going through adversaries and piling up bodies until finally getting a lead. The last place he wants to be is in a ridiculous anger management group with people expressing feelings instead of taking action. Until one fragile human, a green-eyed sweetheart being stalked by danger, catches his eye. One touch, and he realizes vengeance can’t be anywhere near her.

Anger and self-preservation are the only motivations Abby Miller needs or wants right now. Falsely accused of attacking the man who’s terrorized her for years, she’s forced as a plea bargain to attend an anger management counseling group with people with some serious rage issues, while learning true self defense on the side. Yet a man, one more primal than any she’s ever met, draws her in a way and into a world deadlier than she’s ever imagined. He offers her protection, but she finds the fight is really for his heart, and she’s ready to battle.

Let me start off my saying that Rebecca is one of my favorite authors as I love everything she writes and The Dark Protectors is a series that I re-read all the time.I love all the characters associated with this series.

This author has done it yet again this was one funny read. Omg ! we loved this Novella and its character's and I have to say that Ivar made this book down right hilarious!

We loved Abby and Noah as they really made the perfect couple who had amazing chemistry but , also had a great friendship that turned into so much more. For Noah it was pretty much love at first sight and for Abby lust and first sight but, honestly she could not help but fall for the big arrogant lug right from the start too.

We loved the plot where a bunch of immortal vampires & demons are forced to go to mandatory counseling for anger management.Well let's just say those sessions where down right hilarious but, it was also where Noah was destined to meet his mate who's life is riddled with nothing drama and chaos just like his. lol The perfect mate for an immortal full of hate and Hell bent on Vengeance  "you think ?" lol

Overall we loved the story from beginning to end it was fun and engaging had drama, suspense a touching romance even liked that fact that a bunch of Immortals who hate each other are forced to work as a team oh, yeah fun times that had us laughing out loud with their bickering jabs antics with one another throughout the entire story .We loved it and would love to see Ivar get his own story or see more of him because his honesty and plain speaking made him funny as he**!

Well done and goes into the keeper pile to be read over and over again when we need tons of laughs.

Recommended read to all !
