This is book # 3, in The Brightside series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order.

Mark and Amanda aka Boots meet under some really unfortunate circumstances.  Good thing there are better reasons to get together later.  Can a bad first impression turn into something positive for the future?

Amanda has reason to be wary of a man who has hordes of crazy music fans following him everywhere.  Mark is an amazing guy, but is the man she sees the same man on stage?  Between two really serious and busy careers and states, can you fall in love?

This book took me by surprise.  I know the series is good.  I keep coming back for a reason.  This couple needed an HEA something bad.  What was great was how they get there.  I hope we see more of this series since it is so terrific!  I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Amanda/Boots was going to her cousin/ best friend Liv’s wedding she was to be maid of honor the wedding was in South Africa. Amanda is going into her five year residency and wants to be a plastic surgeon. Amanda has wanted to be a doctor since she was thirteen and her dad was a doctor also and he told her not to lose focus for any reason. Amanda leaves NYC to go to the wedding and Mark is the best man who is the bass player for Berkley and the Bright Side but also the lead for a new band- Coconut Teazer. Liv is marrying Berkley and he is a big celebrity so they are trying to keep the wedding secret. Amanda and Mark hook up over the wedding weekend. Even though both Mark and Amanda tried to fight their attraction at first. Amanda has a problem at work and starts wondering if she really is following the right road. Mark suggests she come on a trip with him and the band and figure things out.

This was a very good read. A doctor and a rock star hmmmmm guess opposites do attract. Well in this story at least they do. But one thing that bothered me is Amanda ran away from Mark too often and Mark kept taking her back. I understand she was a little insecure since Mark could get any woman he wanted but either be with him or don’t. I feel this story could have been a little shorter although I did really enjoy it. The story was really sweet. I liked the opposites thing been there done that but don’t regret that . this book did pull me in almost from the beginning and it kept my attention. I liked how Amanda was a strong individual. I also liked how Mark wanted a  new band to get rid of some of the fame he already had. I liked the characters a lot and the ins and outs of this story and I recommend.

This is the first in The Brightside series.  It tells how Berkeley and Olivia meet, and how he pursues her.  Even when she chooses not to be pursued.  

Berk and Liv have such an amazing love story.  With him being a rock star and pretty darn famous, she has to decide if he is worth loving and investing time and losing her private life.  The press likes to annoy them both and it makes for an interesting read.

Liv has a hard time at first, trying to get a job, until finally she is hired to a lingerie company.  She is excited about the opportunities her boss provides.  She also makes friends at work and thinks she can live in Los Angeles after all.  Meanwhile, at home, she is given a makeover by her neighbors.  It teaches her a lot and helps with the Berk and Liv story.

Berk has tour dates he must complete and even though he and Liv have had a honeymoon of sorts, he must get back to it.  Liv has her work obligations as well, and they must learn to trust and live apart.  Problem is - neither really wants that.

I found the story to be compelling, and while I would have loved to have read it before the next book - each book is truly their own.  Have you seen The Brightside series?  It is pretty darn good at a pretty good price!  I give it a happy 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!!

 This is book # 2 in The Brightside series by Katie Delahanty.  Berkeley Dalton and Olivia Bloom's story is fantastic.....and totally complicated.  They are engaged to be married but the contract to make his new movie states that no one can find out.  The fine for the reveal is a million dollars!

Berkeley is very much in love with Olivia.  He wants her with him all the time.  He offers her a position of assistant to the assistant costumer on the set of his new movie.  Well the title is something like that.  Olivia is so excited for such an opportunity she leaves her great job designing lingerie for this chance and to be closer to her fiance'.

Liv and Berk are serious about one another but there are other forces at work against them.  Ex-girlfriends, paparazzi, publicists, contracts, pretend friends and more! 

Liv starts to have doubts.  She never sees Berk, and when she does he is really good at pretending he does not know her!  Berk on the other hand has so much going on.... and he starts to regret taking time away from his music career too.  What should a rock star do?

Liv also has a new love interest.  One who wants to see her in his future and asks her out repeatedly.  Berk is not sure he can stop the doubts either.  Is there too much there to come between them?  Add in fanatical family and it just seems like too much?!  

I think true love will win this time.  Berkeley and Olivia have so much energy and sparks fly when they are in the same room.  This book can be read as a stand alone story but I feel it is a better read if you can get your hands on the first book, In Bloom from The Brightside series.  There is so much more to the other characters and it is worth the read.  I cannot wait to see where the author goes for the next book!!

Beware the surprise ending and one should totally enjoy the sizzle that literally jumps out of the book to the reader.  The chemistry for these two is huge!  I willingly give it 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
