31 days of reading update
Let the Sky Fall - Shannon Messenger
The Forsaken - Lisa M. Stasse
Unwind - Neal Shusterman
Blood Red Road (Dust Lands, #1) - Moira Young
Fault Line - Christa Desir
Maid of Secrets - Jennifer McGowan
Linked - Imogen Howson
Crash - Lisa McMann
Rot & Ruin (Benny Imura #1) - Jonathan Maberry
Two-Way Street - Lauren Barnholdt

I've been too busy reading to write, LOL!.  So, here's what's been happening with my 31 days of reading with Simon Pulse challenge:

Day 3: Let the Sky Fall Finished and loved it! I had this on my to-read list for awhile, so I was glad to finally get to read it, and for free no less!

Day 4: The Forsaken Finished and loved it!  A bit like The Maze Runner, very enjoyable!

Day 5: Unwind Finished and loved it!  I had heard of this book, but didn't know what it was about, really.  I was pleasantly surprised.

Day 6: Blood Red Road Didn't Finish, unfortunately.  I had a headache and the writing just wasn't working for me that day.  I have been wanting to read this, so I will definitely come back to it at some point.

Day 7: Fault Lines Finished and really enjoyed.  This is one of those heartbreakers.  It involves rape, but is told from the girl's boyfriend's point of view.

Day 8: Maid of Secrets Didn't finish, mainly I just didn't have enough time in the day, and I have to sleep at some point, LOL. Intriguing story so far, I will definitely come back to it in the future!

Day 9: Linked Finished and loved it!  Creepy dystopian novel, very enjoyable!

Day 10: Crash Finished and really enjoyed!  Interesting story and concept, enjoyed the sarcasm, wit, and romance!

Day 11:  Rot and Ruin Haven't finished yet, but I'm hoping to get back to it tonight!  Enjoying it so far, and I'm not usually a zombie fan.

Day 12:  Two-Way Street Finshed and really enjoyed!  Told in alternating points of view and time frames (before and after) made for a little suspense to this enjoyable teen romance.

So far, I have finished 9 out of the first 12 books!  Pretty good, right? It's better than I thought I would do!

For the month of December, www.pulseit.com are doing a #31daysofreading where they are letting you read books for free, but for only 24 hours. This morning I saw that they were featuring Precious Blood by Tonya Hurley.

I was immediately intrigued because of the beautiful cover and I instantly went to goodreads to read the synopsis.

I was very surprised to find out that I already knew which book this was.

With a name and cover change I hadn't even recognized the book. This book was already on my to read shelf and I have been wanting to buy it for quite a while. Now I am happy that I didn't because I am so in love with the new cover!

Goodreads synopsis:
What if martyrs and saints lived among us? And what if you were told you were one of them?

Meet Agnes, Cecilia, and Lucy. Three lost girls, each searching for something. But what they find is Beyond Belief.

I think the trailer is perfect and it makes me want to pick the book up right now.

If any of you have read this book, let me know what you thought!

Read it for free! The Program - Suzanne Young
The Program - Suzanne Young

In Sloane’s world, true feelings are forbidden, teen suicide is an epidemic, and the only solution is The Program.
Sloane knows better than to cry in front of anyone. With suicide now an international epidemic, one outburst could land her in The Program, the only proven course of treatment. Sloane’s parents have already lost one child; Sloane knows they’ll do anything to keep her alive. She also knows that everyone who’s been through The Program returns as a blank slate. Because their depression is gone—but so are their memories.

This is a quick post just to tell that an e-book version of the The Program, by Suzanne Young, is free for reading on Pulseit this week. For those who don't know Pulseit is a online community of Simon and Schuster where they put extra information on their teen books. You can read excerpts, have chats with the autors and also sometimes they put an entire book there for free. It's a really cool place to get to know new books.

The Program have a really cool premise, sci-fi, dystopia-ish and also sounds a little creepy. It will definetly be my next read.

Just don't forget: the book will be up for reading until 26 of may. After this date the book can't be accessed.
