Rapid Pulse Collection
Rapid Pulse: A Limited Edition Spicy Romance Collection - Gina Kincade,Kiki Howell,Angelica Dawson,Erzabet Bishop,Muffy Wilson,Kathleen Grieve,Julie Morgan,Elle Berlin,Elianne Adams,Monica Corwin,Elvira Bathory,Lexi Thorne,Cate Farren,Author Quinn,M.M. Chabot,Lexi Ostrow,Tamsin Baker,Abyrne Mostyn,Magen McMini

Rapid Pulse Collection is a collection of books about hot Alpha Males. Box sets are a favorite of mine because once in awhile you like a quick read to get you through the day or night. Even when you are having to wait it gives you a mental vacation from the time. In addition it set you up to learn about different authors. So for me I just loved this box set and working through trying to read them all.
"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

Ashford Westinghouse is handsome, well built, and successful. He certainly doesn’t see himself as lonely. He often uses one night stands as a coping mechanism to help him blot out the pain of losing the only woman he’s ever loved. She left him without a hint as to why and he has no desire to ever let his heart get destroyed like that again.

Isabella Alfieri is beautiful, independent and successful in her own right. Her world is almost perfect, but she still can’t seem to forget the man she loved and left seven years ago. And she’ll never forget the reason she had to go. She’s kept her secret all this time. Aside from her family, there’s only one other person that knows her secret and she would never tell a soul.

What will happen when fate intervenes and puts her on the flight he’s co-piloting? The flight that sets them on course for their worlds to come crashing back together after all this time.

**Crash Into Me is a full-length, standalone romance with a HEA, no cliffhanger and no cheating.**

Rich Asian Lovers: Spicy After Dark (6 Hot and Fun Asian American Romance Boxed Set)
Rich Asian Lovers: Spicy After Dark (6 Hot and Fun Asian American Romance Boxed Set) - Rachelle Ayala Reading Ms. Ayala is always a treat. Her stories have always been full of a sweetness that makes the heart rejoice and leaves the day a little bit lighter. With Rich Asian Lovers, she spices it up, while delivering the heart I've come to expect and just the right amount of naughty. She stirs the imagination, tickles the funny bone and heats up the hormones all while delivering great stories. With this Anthology Rachel Ayala proves loves power. The ability to unite. We may look different, talk different and live worlds apart but love is the language meant to bond not diversify.

Wasn't a fan...
Spicy Lasagna Murder: Book 13 in The Darling Deli Series - Patti Benning

Spicy Lasagna Murder: Book 13 in The Darling Deli Series - Patti Benning

I wasn't a fan of this one. I typically like cozy mysteries but this one I thought was hampered by the author's writing style.  It seemed too simplistic and the entire time I was reading, I kept thinking of different (better) ways the author could have said something.

Calling our main character "the deli owner" seemed too impersonal and it was done numerous times throughout the 150 page book.  Also the dialogue was off to me for some reason.

Needless to say, I couldn't rate this one that high.  But, it was free (Kindle Unlimited) and it was short, so I can't complain (too much).

Review: Healing Spices by Kirsten Hartvig
Healing Spices Cookbook: 50 Wonderful Spices, and How to Use Them in Healthgiving, Immunity-boosting Foods and Drinks - Kirsten Hartvik

Publisher: Nourish (19th April 2016)

ISBN: 9781848991545

Source: Netgalley

Rating: 5*

Cloves from the Moluccas, cinnamon from Sri Lanka, pepper from the Malabar coast, chillis from Peru – for over 4,000 years spices have been used to bring recipes to life, as well as to enhance beauty and vitality, and treat and prevent disease. They have enriched our language and our folklore, excited our senses and inspired us to explore new culinary vistas. As we seek to live more healthily, the near-magical ability of spices to transform simple foods into memorable feasts can help us to rebalance our diet in fun and satisfying ways, and their powerful health-protecting and immune-stimulating properties enable us to deal more effectively with the stresses of modern living. The Healing Spices Cookbook will show you how to make the most of your spicerack and discover just how tasty healthy eating can be. Renowned nutritionist and naturopath Kirsten Hartvig offers over 100 delicious and easy recipes from around the world, from starters and preserves to confectionery and liqueurs. Also included in the book is a detailed directory of spices, featuring profiles of the healthiest, most popular kinds, including ginger, paprika, saffron and tamarind. This is a one-stop, easy-to-use, practical guide to the colourful world of spices, telling you all you need to know about buying, storing and using them so you can release their full potential for improving well-being and vitality.

I was so pleased when publisher Nourish granted my wish on Netgalley and this book arrived on my shelf. I use quite a lot of spices, and I'm always eager to discover new ways to incorporate them in my diet.

Each spice has it's own place in the directory, with details of origin, uses, and buying and storing pointers. I learned a lot about the spices I already use, and discovered some new spices too.

The recipe section is fantastic. I've tried several of the recipes now, and have been suitably impressed. I've decided to buy a print copy to add to my cookbook collection, as I'll be using the recipes lots more in the future. I'd recommend this book to those who already like to use spices in their cooking, baking and in drinks, and those who are keen to get to know spices better.

Special thanks to Nourish and Netgalley for granting my wish and placing this book on my shelf.
