I'm pretty sure when I read this story I only gave it 3 stars...
The Holiday Hoax - Skylar M. Cates,C.K. Kelly Martin

I don't know maybe I was having a bit of a Scrooge complex at the time but apparently when I listened to this one the other day it worked a whole hella' lot better on audio. So, I'm just going to tip my hat to K.C. Kelly and credit the fine job he did with the audio and my obviously improved disposition and call it a day...and really, I'm thinking maybe I've taken leave of my senses because..."What the hell folks? Christmas stories in June? FFS...I can't even...I have no excuses but it's a thing I did...yeah, there's one more Christmas story to come. Happy Summer!

Burn
The Hometown Hoax - Heather Thurmeier

This is book #3, in The Hoax Series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading in order.

Logan met Tessa when he gave her a ride into town after an accident.  Later, they find out there is a familial connection.  He is friends with her brother.  What he does not understand, is how he is so attracted to her even after she has rejected him repeatedly.

Tessa is not wanting to move home.  She does not want anything to stop her from meeting her goals.  Her family is relentless.  Logan makes her feel things she has not felt for a while.  Is it worth taking this chance?

This was a bit of a slow burn.  It starts off with a bang, but kind of mellows out, and gets running again.  The characters are both strong, but their chemistry burns high.  I was kind of waiting for a burn out.  Luckily for me, this is an author who never disappoints.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Fake out
The Wedding Hoax (Entangled Lovestruck) - Heather Thurmeier

Daisy & Cole have a history.  They did not part well.  So when the chance comes to both of them to save their respective business, they want to jump on it.  Until they find out it means being together.

Cole has pressure coming at him from all sides.  The personal and professional are all blending for the first time.  Daisy makes it all seem so much better.  Can they learn to keep the future bright while the darkness closes in?

Such a great start to the fun and sexy Hoax Series!  I really love these characters and how real they come across.  Their situation is not uncommon.  I felt they were very easy to understand and relate to.  While the story moves along, there is much heat and laughter also.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Honeymoon Hoax - Devyn Morgan

Suspension of disbelief is required before you start reading this.

Coincidences abound in this piece of feel-good fluff.

Acceptance of the story is helped by the length.

But in the end it's a cute filler story with a previous undiscovered bisexual MC.

Good Story and Characters
The Hookup Hoax (Entangled Lovestruck) - Heather Thurmeier

Sawyer needs a girlfriend. He’s been focused on the family business and doesn’t do relationships. But his grandparents are ready to give up the lakefront cabin , it’s between Sawyer and his cousin who is already married Tyler. Olivia has traveled the world for five years with a failed engagement behind her. Her brother Aidan’s best friend is Sawyer. Sawyer proposes Olivia come to work for him and pretend to be his girlfriend. Also she can live with John to save for her own apartment. Olivia and Sawyer have known each other since they were kids.

I liked this story but really didn’t like the repeating back and forth in Olivia’s as  well as Sawyer’s mind how they can’t be together. Then their romance goes on the fast track. Otherwise the story was really good. But it kinda played out with boy needs a fake girlfriend. I did love the characters of Sawyer and Olivia and the ups and downs they went through. I recommend.

I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.
