Burn
The Hometown Hoax - Heather Thurmeier

This is book #3, in The Hoax Series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading in order.

Logan met Tessa when he gave her a ride into town after an accident.  Later, they find out there is a familial connection.  He is friends with her brother.  What he does not understand, is how he is so attracted to her even after she has rejected him repeatedly.

Tessa is not wanting to move home.  She does not want anything to stop her from meeting her goals.  Her family is relentless.  Logan makes her feel things she has not felt for a while.  Is it worth taking this chance?

This was a bit of a slow burn.  It starts off with a bang, but kind of mellows out, and gets running again.  The characters are both strong, but their chemistry burns high.  I was kind of waiting for a burn out.  Luckily for me, this is an author who never disappoints.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Fake out
The Wedding Hoax (Entangled Lovestruck) - Heather Thurmeier

Daisy & Cole have a history.  They did not part well.  So when the chance comes to both of them to save their respective business, they want to jump on it.  Until they find out it means being together.

Cole has pressure coming at him from all sides.  The personal and professional are all blending for the first time.  Daisy makes it all seem so much better.  Can they learn to keep the future bright while the darkness closes in?

Such a great start to the fun and sexy Hoax Series!  I really love these characters and how real they come across.  Their situation is not uncommon.  I felt they were very easy to understand and relate to.  While the story moves along, there is much heat and laughter also.  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Good Story and Characters
The Hookup Hoax (Entangled Lovestruck) - Heather Thurmeier

Sawyer needs a girlfriend. He’s been focused on the family business and doesn’t do relationships. But his grandparents are ready to give up the lakefront cabin , it’s between Sawyer and his cousin who is already married Tyler. Olivia has traveled the world for five years with a failed engagement behind her. Her brother Aidan’s best friend is Sawyer. Sawyer proposes Olivia come to work for him and pretend to be his girlfriend. Also she can live with John to save for her own apartment. Olivia and Sawyer have known each other since they were kids.

I liked this story but really didn’t like the repeating back and forth in Olivia’s as  well as Sawyer’s mind how they can’t be together. Then their romance goes on the fast track. Otherwise the story was really good. But it kinda played out with boy needs a fake girlfriend. I did love the characters of Sawyer and Olivia and the ups and downs they went through. I recommend.

I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

The Hometown Hoax
The Hometown Hoax - Heather Thurmeier With The Hometown Hoax, Ms. Thurmeier composed a story that is somewhat idealistic but cute none the lest. This read reminded me of the saying " one person's junk may be another's treasure." Tessa saw Cutter's Creek for everything it lacked and was not. Maybe because it was her hometown and she wanted more than to be cut off from new experiences, new people and a different environment. Logan saw it in the opposite way because he had already experienced fast paced living and adventurous experiences. The Hometown Hoax is a story of perception, deception and distinguishing between the two. I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review. The heart of this book is finding out what is most important.

Who's kidding who?
The Hookup Hoax (Entangled Lovestruck) - Heather Thurmeier

Sawyer Sterling and Olivia Morgan have quite the history.  He is her brother's best friend.  She has known him for a while.  He asks her to make a deal with him.  He will be her pretend boyfriend and her boss to give her a reference here in the states.

Olivia thinks it is a great idea.  Little does she know she will fall for him.  He is super sexy and smart.  He impresses her with his desire to do right by the company and his family too.

Sawyer falls for her right away and does not acknowledge it.  He likes being with her and the peace he feels when he is.  She soothes him.  He is just afraid to tell her brother that he is into her.  He knows there is a fight coming.

Olivia never felt like she belongs.  With Sawyers family she is welcome and even wanted.  Helping him for the cabin he grew up in is just easy for her to do.  Only one problem.  He is a player and she is being reminded by her brother if she tries to play she could be hurt.

Such a great story with a lot of fun banter in it.  It has such heart as well.  This story is a page turner and was hard to put down.  I give it a happy 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
