I've Got your Number By Sophie Kinsella
I've Got Your Number - Sophie Kinsella

Can I just say how much I really liked this book. I decided to read something more in the lighter side after reading Vandal. And let me just say that this book was so entertaining and fluffy from beginning to end. I have seen books by Sophie Kinsella but have never went ahead and picked one up to read. And now im feeling so left out of this whole Sophie Kinsella world out there...lol. I like that this whole story is really established around a phone that is found in the trash. Which by the way now has me looking into trash can every time I go by one..lol. So you have two people now sharing one phone. The funniest stuff come in when you have the wrong person of the two holding on to it. This is were Poppy comes in, a cute and very impulsive character in the book. The stuff she gets herself in through out the book is by itself soooo entertaining. We also have Sam a workaholic business man that is, or at least tries to be very private about his life in general. But leave it to Poppy to have him having almost heart attacks on her impulsive decisions. The whole interaction between these two characters that are funny and clever in their own way is so enjoyable to read. Not sure why I didn't totally love the book, I mean it has everything that a good book should have. And I would definitely recommend this book. But I did enjoy it and liked it a lot. And I would definitely pick up another Sophie Kinsella's book. Which by the way there are a few out there. Plus she will be adding to her collection her first YA book called "Finding Aubrey". It will be published June 2015.

Book Blurb/Synopsis-

The Guardian Duke is award-winning novelist Jamie Carie’s most exciting story yet, a uniquely arranged Regency-era romantic adventure where hero and heroine know each other through written letters but have yet to meet.

Gabriel, the Duke of St. Easton, is ordered by the King to take guardianship over Lady Alexandria Featherstone whose parents are presumed dead after failing to return from a high profile treasure hunt. But Alexandria ignores this royal reassignment, believing her parents are still alive and duly following clues that may lead to their whereabouts. Gabriel, pressured by what are actually the King’s ulterior motives, pursues her across windswept England and the rolling green hills of Ireland but is always one step behind.

When they do meet, the search for earthly treasure will pale in comparison to what God has planned for both of them.

Our Review

What a great start to a series. I found the characters to be engaging funny , serious and some to be our white Knight !Alexandria becomes the guardian of the Duke of St. Easton when Alexandria's parents are presumed dead. Her parents are treasure hunting looking for a lost tomb that has gone missing from a collection. Alexandria does not believe her parents are dead so puts forth a plan to rescue them but, to do that she needs money to travel with. Alex corresponds with the Duke making up or stretching the truth about the amount of money she needs to keep things running at home. Alex letters are so funny they have you cracking up. She is talking to the Duke not knowing what to say to him, saying things no lady would say, speaking her mind in those letters a crossing certain parts out but ,sending the letter as is.Hilarious !The purpose of the letters is really to distract the Duke from making her leave her home a coming to him but, in doing so she is building a relationship with her Duke. Alex sets forth on looking for her parents and finds a champion to help her in her travels. The Duke learning she has gone from her home sets out to travel after her and bring her back to safely.

These two play at Cat and mouse game the whole story through.
Alex lets the Duke know her where abouts just enough to keep him interested but, always several steps ahead and out of reach as she is not going back to England she is finding her parents even if it kills her !

I loved this story it was a very fun read and quite the page turner. I never laughed so hard reading the parts where Alex is writing her letters to the Duke. The Duke feels he has gotten to know who Alex is through her letters and learns that she is one of a kind.He is falling in love. This little adventure was packed with enough intrigue to keep you on the edge always wondering what will happen next. There adventure led them to developing a  long and lasting relationship.Alex might be developing a love interest which will complicate things for the Duke. The story right up to the end was delightful leaving a cliff hanger on what happens next ! This book is a keeper for me just one of the heart felt romances that is developing little by little without either party realizing the extent of there feeling just yet!

Recommended read to all !

Book Blurb/Synopsis-

Growing up on the tough Philly streets, Gwen O'Neill has learned how to fend for herself. But what is she supposed to do with a nice, suburban Jersey boy in the form of a massive Grizzly shifter? Especially one with a rather unhealthy fetish for honey, moose, and…uh…well, her. Yet despite his menacing ursine growl and four-inch claws, Gwen finds Lachlan "Lock" MacRyrie cute and really sweet. He actually watches out for her, protects her, and unlike the rest of her out-of-control family manages not to morbidly embarrass her. Too bad cats don't believe in forever.

At nearly seven feet tall, Lock is used to people responding to him in two ways: screaming and running away. Gwen-half lioness, half tigress, all kick-ass-does neither. She's sexy beyond belief and smart as hell, but she's a born protector. Watching out for the family and friends closest to her but missing the fact that she's being stalked by a murderous enemy who doesn't like hybrids…and absolutely hates Gwen. Lock probably shouldn't get involved, but he will. Why? Because this is Gwen-and no matter what the hissing, roaring, drape destroying feline says about not being ready to settle down, Lock knows he can't simply walk away. Not when she's come to mean absolutely everything to him.

I have been reading this series and absolutely love it.I love all the characters and that they all carry on from one book to the next. I find that I really love and like the way that this writer writes. This author has me laughing from the beginning to the end of each and every book.Love the lines that she uses also thinking hum well said.Shelly's sexual encounter scenes a very erotic and very hot along with all the HOT men she has you drooling over wishing that was you  !LOL. The aspect that I like about the book and the series so far is that fact that she mixes all character's together like grizzly bears. she-wolfs, hyenas, wild dogs, tigons (mixed breeds) etc and having those characters search and find their mates among other breeds. The characters are strong , like-able and very protective of others and their mates.Well written and a very enjoyable story. A recommended read to all.

Book Blurb/Synopsis-

When Eglantine "Harry" Knight sets off for Greece at the last minute to step in as manager of a friend's touring band, the last thing she expects is to meet a billionaire Greek playboy. Iakovos Papaionannou is perfection on every level, except for his unpronounceable name. And Harry can't stop herself from falling hard and fast for him.

Iakovoos knew his sister hired her favorite band to perform at her birthday party; he's just not sure where this six-foot-tall, wild-haired, tempestuous woman fits in, or how she's already ended up in his bed-and in his heart. Harry is so not his type. She's as infuriating as she is intriguing, and she can't keep her hands off his butt. But she just may be the woman who knocks him off the world's most eligible bachelor list for good . . .

Our Review

I got to say this is the funniest book that I have read in a very long time. From the beginning pages Harry had me laughing a rolling in laughter she was a hoot and a pleasure to read about .Harry is a writer doing a favor of escorting band members to a Greek Island to play at a birthday party. Things pretty much  go a rye from the beginning when one of the band member girls is attacked or so she says and this starts a change of events. The handsome hottie involved is the brother of the Greek god and overlord .LOL She starts by punching him out and giving him a skinning. Its was pretty funny to read about. You can just picture all her gestures reaming him out. The problem is Harry is super attracted to this playboy millionaire from the get go and vice versa .I am thinking this attraction has never happened to either one of them. They start a romance and its pretty evident that things  will take some getting used to like old jealous girlfriends, that he is a billionaire , owns his own island, and is a very domineering character and is smoking hot!

This story was just a whole lot of fun and I loved it. Harry was just a great character to read about with all her gestures and antics and just her outlook on life. She was a strong loving character and as far as I am concerned she is the one who made this book rock. And that one miss little brought down a young handsome Greek bachelor that hundreds had a chance at with just a blink of and a eye and flirtatious smile...And one of the best parts of the book was the fact that she never even got his name right so she named him Yacky.....

Our Review
Wow ! What a fantastic read just loved it could not put the book down what a page turner this story was.Michelle G Miller is a new author for me and I have to say she didn't disappoint.I love it when I find new authors to read and fall absolutely in love with there works and writing. If Michelle continues to write stories like this she will be among my top favorite authors.

What a great cast of character's I love them all found them all to be loving caring respectful and a times a lot of fun to read about they all were so engaging that they kept you turning the pages to see just what would happen next.

You always have to have one favorite character and Xander would have to be mine. That hot Guardian bordered on being a saint ! That hottie makes a girls blood boil.I was In love with him from the very first pages what a considerate loving and caring individual and also one heck of a protector.Wish he were mine...LOL

Xander was chosen to be Skye's Guardian and has been watching over her for many years but, one fateful night he finally broke a rule and showed himself to her creating a whole slew of new problems for them both.Skye is a bit of a mess growing up in a group homes all her life and feeling so alone has driven her to partying to much and  to make one bad decision after another until she meets Xander when her life is about to change . Whether its for the better is anyone's guess....

Xander has been chosen to be a Guardian to Skye's for a purpose as she really is a princess from another dimension and now in line to be Queen of her own realm. The kicker is she knows nothing of this and thinks everyone around her is crazy until a batch of demons try to dispense with her.Now she is starting to believe little by little. With no reconciliation of her past life she needs to put her trust in Xander to learn of her past and carve out a future whatever that may be.

Xander and Skye have a past although she does not remember him she has a strong bond and feels safe only when he is around. The two have a great relationship once Skye learns to trust and open up she starts to remember what they meant to each other and they start to rebuild there connection .Xander is in love even knowing it is forbidden he can't seem to not act on his feeling around Skye and Skye feels the same way towards him.So why not indulge there selves .....

Your heart breaks for this couple knowing that there relationship is doomed from the very beginning and even if it were not because of the forbidden laws  those enemies among them will do everything to become between them.I am rooting for them they make a beautiful couple both loving loyal and caring and just perfect for one another.

The story that surrounds the lovers is filled will tons of danger that is lurking at every corner. Keeping you on the seat of your pants just to see what happens next. The story was filled will love and romance and intrigue all the things that I love when reading a story. It was amazing to see Skye grow and become that strong confident person she always wanted to be. She blossomed right before our eyes.

Wow ! What a ending ! Can you say cliffhanger ? OMG ! I did not want the story to end.I am anxiously awaiting the next sequel. Can you say ?Sitting on pins and needle is more like it.A wonderful and cleverly written story and a recommend read to all whether young or old it needs to be in your to read pile.

You know you have written a fantastic story when the reader finishes the story and then goes back to re-read there favorite parts not wanting to let go quite yet. Into the keeper pile and will be a must re-read in the near future. We are giving this story a 5 star read !
