I LOVED THESE!!!
Interludes Box Set - Aliyah Burke
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this box set of three books. Because I read these books back to back, as a set, I’m writing one review for the whole bundle, rather than three separate reviews. And let me tell ya, I loved these books! Well, I LOVED books one and three, two didn’t quite hit that spot, but still! These books landed right in my queue when I needed them the most. I read a lot, A LOT, a lot and a huge chunk of those books are male/male romance of some description or other. Now, I’m not picky, I like to think I’m an equal opportunities reader, I will read most pairings so long as the blurb grabs. But it’s been a while since I had such great male/female pairings that were so bloody sexy! There is instant and powerful attraction between Roxi and Sam in book one. Tuck and Ariel pussy foot around each other for the better part of two years before they act on their feelings in book two. Maya and Brent, in book three, had a one night stand some time (but I was never really clear on how long ago that was!) in Hawaii and when Brent finds himself face to face with Maya again, he wants to pick up where they left off. Each book is well written, with both male and female lead having a say. All the characters have very different voices, and tell their stories in the third person. Each book has a Marine or two as the lead, and there are a whole host of other Marines that pop up in each book. There is a huge supporting cast, spread over the three books, with some very interesting people who I want to have a story of their own. Some massive hints? Clues? Teasers, I think is probably the best word, to their stories and I need to know will there be more in this series?? I read tow of these books in one day, and had I not had to up at stoopid o’clock the next morning, I would probably have read all three! First I’ve read of this author, and now I want to read more. Her back list is massive though, and it may take some time to choose! Like I said, book two did not quite hit *that* spot, but I’m still giving the whole set. . . 5 full stars **same worded review will appear elsewhere**

not enough for me
The Mischievous Maids of Master Marius: A Collection of Erotic Flash Fiction - Ruby Marley
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book Ten maids to Master Marius tell their story, identified only by the job and the colour of their underwear. This was an easy read, erotic flash fiction, 49 pages. It didn't do very much for me, though, and I found 9 stories almost identical. The tenth is different in the the Maid is in control, rather than Marius but there was still the reference to her colour underwear, and what she felt about the other maids. It was reasonably well written, and delivers what it claims to be: short erotic fiction. It just wasn't ENOUGH for me, but I did finish it. 3 stars **same worded review will appear elsewhere**

3 very good shorts
Dark Encounters Box Set - Jambrea Jo Jones
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this box set of three short stories. I can't write three individual reviews for such short stories, the whole box set is 130 pages, and it took my an hour to read, but I will write a general one, encompassing what I thought about the three tales, which all take place within the BDSM club, Dark Encounters There is Elizabeth and Ren: She goes to the club open night, but ery nearly walks out without speaking to anyone, but she catches Ren's eye. He doesn't play very often, but felt a need to come to the club this night. Elizabeth is a sub, and Ren, a Dom and their night goes pretty much how you expect it to. Well written, from Elizabeth's point of view only. All three tales are single point of view, actually! then we have Franco and Trevor: Franco works at the club and has had a crush on Trevor who owns said club, forever. But trevor doesn't play with his staff. A sex carnival gives Trevor the opportunity to finally act on his desire. They start at a Ferris Wheel spanking and things move quickly after that. And my favourite of the three! Kameron wants one thing, well TWO really. Theodore and Beck fit all the requirements Kameron has, but will they want him for more than one night? Can he really be the middle of a bear sandwich forever? Three well written, well delivered but far too SHORT stories, that hit just the spot they need to. I read this in the tub, and thoroughly enjoyed it! I haven't read anything else by this author, but I would like to now. Something longer, maybe a full length book. Something that shows off what she can do with more words and pages to play with! 4 very good stars **same worded review will appear elsewhere**

different and different is GOOD!
Shifter Protection Specialists, Inc Box Set - SA Welsh
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of these books Kale’s brother drags him to the Shifter Protection Specialists when a deranged fan starts sending threatening male. Kale doesn’t want close protection, but when the mountain of a man walks into the room, Kale knows he would suffer anything to be with this man. Aleski’s sabre tooth tiger takes a shine to Kale, and he quickly realised they could be mates. But the fan is getting closer, and more deadly, and not even Aleski knows if he can keep Kale safe. I have a soft spot of shifters of a different sort, and you don’t see many (not EVER!) some of the animal halves of these shifters who work together and a sabre tooth tiger is somewhat different and I really rather enjoyed this! There isn’t that MINE moment, at least not right away, and I loved watching Aleski and Kale fall for each other. Kale calms Aleski’s tiger, stands up to the man where others would run a mile. Oh Aleski would LOVE that Kale ran away, if only for his tiger to play chase with the much smaller model! But Kale isn’t others, and he knows that Aleski is the man and the TIGER for him. I did not see who the fan might be coming at me, not at all, so well played there! It’s sexy and sweet, steamy and emotional and I really did enjoy it! 4 solid stars **same worded review will appear elsewhere** Protecting his asset tags: debbie, 4 stars, male/male, romance, shifters, military dudes I had read this book previously, but when I went back to read my review, I couldn’t pull it up, cos my review really did not give anything away, so I read it again. This is my original review, though. George knew his father was bad to the bane, he just didn't think he'd go as low as he did. George needs help. The sort of help Scott and his brothers provide. But George has secrets he didn't know he had, and those secrets could kill Scott. I liked this, a lot! I've not read book one in this series, and I think it would have helped me to. Its just for me, it doesn't affect my star rating or my reading experience. I'll probably go back at some point and read it. This is told from both Scott and George's POV, so we get to hear from both of them/ It has drama and danger. Some twists I did not see coming. Some interesting shifter types too. Snakes, lizards, phoenix and dragons as well as the usual bears and big cats. It was an easy read, with just enough information filtered through, all in the right places, to keep you on your toes and interested. Its the first I've read of this author. I will, as I said, go back and read book one in this series. I should also like to read any future books too. Some hints were made to possible future story lines and I would like to see them through. 4 stars. **same worded review will appear elsewhere** Guarding his Mark, 4 stars, male/male, shifters, military dudes, romance, crime/thriller Khan was subjected to experiments as a child, and as an adult tries to steer clear of hospitals. But when he comes across a sexy man who is testing the use of snake venom on children with cancer, Khan can’t stay away. He needs to make sure that Casey is actually doing what he says he is. He also needs to keep the man safe, cos someone is clearly out to get Casey. This one is my favourite of the three! Khan is a King Cobra, and his venom is helping Casey find a cure for his niece. But someone else wants Casey’s research, and not for what Casey intended it for. Casey and Khan have instant and powerful attraction right from the start, and it burns hot and bright right through the book. It’s super hawt! I am really enjoying reading about these guys, there are a few of them who have tales to tell, I hope. I can’t find any more than these three though, and I do hope the author hasn’t left them other things! I almost read all three books in one sitting, but the darn day job got in the way. I would have, though, had it not. I loved these. Definitely different, and different is ALWAYS good in my book! 4 solid stars across all three books.

a fabulous little collection!
The Arts of Love: Stories of Sensual Creativity - Harley Easton
Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books! 16 short stories, written by the same author, based around love and the Arts. Music, acting, writing and everything inbetween. A 16 book collection was never going to get 16 individual reviews, so here's what I thought about them all, as a whole. I rather enjoyed it! It's a great collection of shorts, average about 15 pages each, some a little shorter or longer, but that gives you just enough for each story, I thought, to give you a brief connection, a glimpse into these people's lives. Some stories are a bit more explicit, some almost clean, in my opinion. Mostly written from one person's view, in the third person. Each short is well written, and well delivered. I saw no spelling or editing errors to spoil my reading experience. This is the first I've read of this author, and I'd like to read more. Something much longer than these shorts, just to see what they can do with more pages! A thoroughly enjoyable Sunday afternoon spent reading, thank you. 4 solid stars **same worded review will appear elsewhere**
