Imago (Imago #1) by N.R. Walker
Imago - N.R. Walker

I am going to file this book under "culinary" tag: too much food.
Too much sex, come to think of it, too.

And way, waayyy too much dog.

And I feel sorry for MC's because their faces must really hurt by now from all this smiling.
I feel I need something very depressing, to even out the mood :/

1.5 stars. Rounding up to 2 for the outdoor adventures.

Body Magic (Triad #2) by Poppy Dennison
Body Magic - Poppy Dennison

WARNING: spoilers!

But then the book is predictable, if you read the first installment, I am sure you figured the juicy bits out already.

==================================

This is a Happy Book, A Jory Book ...only better! We all know Jory is good with in-laws, grumpy old men, wolves ...um, dogs ...same crap, children, dishes; plus he is adorable and sexy. Guess what? Simon is all that, plus he sparkles and levitates.

Then there is Cade and Rocky, hornifying each other in every bush, corner and building of the village. Then of course, there is Gray and Simon sexing like rabbits in between breakfasts, coffee, pancakes, games with children, computer games, plants and other happy things. For like 70%.

Speaking of children in or near my books:

Then at 70% poop hits the fan. Everyone is fighting or dying or chasing deadly things, except for the council, of course. Seems, they dropped directions to all the uber spots in the toilet and missed all the fun, including dog fights (and, I guess, bets?). Now, who wouldn't be cranky after that? So, the old pervs decide to confiscate the only shiny they could still get their claws on - Simon.

BUT - thank god for Rocky! The lowly omega saves Simon, shames the balls off the council and grucks Gray's beta in the... oh, that would be a spoiler :P

=====

This book: first 70% - happy, happy, happy; last 30% - gruesome and violent with a cliffy.

I like: first 90% - gruesome and violent; last 10% - happy, or somewhat happy.

Told you, it's me. ONE STAR.WARNING: spoilers!

Captive (Planet Alpha #4) by Pelaam
Captive (Planet Alpha) - Pelaam

Within a span of a couple of pages:

"You taste sweet. It must be all the fruit you eat.”
....
“I need to move, precious beloved.”
....
“Spill for me, my beloved one.”
....
“I love you, Nakai,” Einian murmured drowsily.
“I love you, my beautiful love.”

Chasing Mr. Wright (Fated Hearts #1) by Aimee Nicole Walker
Chasing Mr. Wright: Book 1 Of The Fated Hearts Series - Aimee Nicole Walker

There are plenty of reviews that convey my feelings on the major aspects and I am just going to point them out very quickly, so as not to waste your time:

- The story takes place in Glitterland, where everything and everyone is gay and beautiful and sparkly, and even the douchest of the douchbags farts glitter and poops cookie-dough.

- The sex. It goes on and on and on in small bouts and huge chunks. There is no escape from it, even when the MCs are pouting and trying to avoid each other. It simply continues on by moving into the imaginary dimensions of Glitterland in their minds.

- This book not only rained, it golden frigging showered and thunder-stormed all over my BI parade. Because it turned out, we, the BI people, ruin the families, corrupt the innocent and will bring down the society. Or some such twisted, perverted nonsense.

And my personal pet peeve:

- Gram. The one suffering from an acute case of graphomania and verbal diarrhea. To be honest, I stopped reading "Chasing Mr. Write" right after AN Walker cited a few paragraphs from her book. THAT was IT for me.
