FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT ANNE HARPER
Fake It Till You Make It - Anne Harper

This book was all kinds of cute and totally refreshing to read. Sloane was so darn relatable. It can be hard to express yourself sometimes, especially when the feelings are overwhelming. It was a fun and relatively lighthearted journey watching as Sloane's inadvertent thrust into the spotlight helped her really come out of her shell and connect with so many people near and far.

I quite enjoyed the setting too. The quirky southern small town of Arbor Bay added an extra fun dynamic to the mix. I have to say I'd love to see more of some of these characters in a future book! This was a perfect feel-good escapism romance, with some of my favorite tropes, sunshine/grumpy and fake dating. I highly recommend to fans of contemporary romance.

I received an arc of this book from Entangled Publishing via Netgalley and this is my honest review.

Fake It Till You Make It by: Anne Harper
Fake It Till You Make It - Anne Harper

The most essential gift that any person can possess is the ability to laugh at themselves. Life is about the unpredictable and Harper takes delight in showing how to live with the punches it aims our way. Fake It Till You Make It packs wise words with a sense of humor. Behind the mischievous storyline and the charming characters, lies a hint of truth. In order to move pass pain and embarrassment we have to face it head on with tons of laughter and an ever present sense of self. We are not the mistakes that we make, but the lessons we learn from them guide us through this bumpy road that we call life. A sunny outlook with a relevant twist.

Fake it 'til You Make Out (Love & Luck #1) - Isla Olsen

Heath & Declan are best friends.  They have gotten closer recently and both are happy to have such a good friendship.  Then they run into Heath's ex-girlfriend.  It's awkward moment.

Declan is actually gay, so misunderstanding ensues.  This is the perfect example of why you should never talk about someone else without their permission.  The ex shares her idea of what happened on a social platform.

I thought this story was very well thought out.  The pace moved along like a dream.  I did not put it down, but read it straight through.  It had really good humor, plot, and heat.  The sexy times were HOT!  I cannot wait to read the next installment in the Love & Luck series.  I give this read a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

***This early copy was given by Booksprout and its publishers, in exchange for an honest review.

Steampunk poseur

Why is it, if I see a book that looks vaguely steampunk-y, I want it?  I'm not even involved in the steampunk scene (or any scene, really, unless it's the library) and yet, show me a cover with a lady in some kind of corset and a dirigible in the background, and I'm drooling.
