"Red Light Special" by Mis Dee

My Thoughts....

If you like day dreaming about erotic fantasies then this author give the reader quite a hot "Red Light Special" story that will leave you saying Wow!  will Neva get to really live out her fantasies.  With that friend of hers all I can say is REALLY!  I guess with Rocky turning her friend on to PUSH[sex club], it looks like she had a reason for doing this and you will just have to pick up this novel to see just what she did to her so call friend.  With Neva wanting more from her husband...so bad there didn't seem to be any communication between them and well... I will just say that we will have to get the rest of this story to see how this will this all turn out.  Now that we have the "Red Light Special" I will definitely want to see what the 'Green Light' holds for Neva, Rocky and that husband Benjamin.

The Red: An Erotic Fantasy
The Red: An Erotic Fantasy - Tiffany Reisz
Mona promised her mother on her death bed that she would do anything to keep The Red, her mother's art gallery. A mysterious man known to her as only Malcolm gives her a proposition. He'll save The Red if she agrees to be his sexually for the next year. He'll come to her about once a month and be able to do whatever he wants with or to her. Each time he comes, they begin by acting out a scene from a different famous piece of art. Every meeting is a unique and erotic experience. Do not try to read this book in a public setting. There's a good chance you'll need some 'me time' more than once. The scenes may push your boundaries also. I enjoyed each time Malcolm paid a visit. Certain bits almost made me combust. I loved the ending. I guessed something along those lines of what Malcolm was, but I never would have guessed his end game. The story wraps up well, but I wouldn't be opposed to revisiting Mona in another book.

Review: The Red by Tiffany Reisz
The Red: An Erotic Fantasy - Tiffany Reisz

http://witandsin.blogspot.com/2017/06/review-red-by-tiffany-reisz.html

The Red is a fantastically filthy read where the lines between reality and fantasy are blurred. This is not a story for the faint of heart – it’s explicit, uninhibited, and there’s mind games as well as erotic games – but if you’re up for the ride, it’s well worth it. Tiffany Reisz knows how to pack a punch with inventive, incredibly dirty erotica.

Mona made a deathbed promise to her mother that she would do anything to save The Red, her mother’s art gallery. Just when Mona’s at her lowest and ready to close The Red, a mysterious stranger arrives. Malcolm will give her a way to save the gallery if she sells herself to him for one year, giving him carte blanche to do whatever he pleases so long as he doesn’t do permanent damage. It’s a bold, honest, unromantic offer, but Mona takes it, thus beginning a journey that both tangles her up and sets her free.

I loved that Mona was a strong heroine, confident in her sexuality to begin with. She’d have to be, given that her erotic encounters with Malcolm test her every limit and at times make her think she’s losing her grip on reality. It was interesting to watch her change over the course of the story, just as it was interesting to see the layers of Malcolm’s character revealed. I can’t really say too much about either him or the plot because it would spoil the story. Just know that if it seems at times that The Red is going off the rails when it comes to reality versus fantasy, stick around. Ms. Reisz brings everything together in an incredibly satisfying (no pun intended) manner.

The Red travels primarily from one erotic interlude to the next, but it’d be remiss of me to talk about the book and not mention the characters’ love of art. Art – and every character in the book’s passion for it – is central to the tale and breaths even more life into the story. Malcolm and Mona’s passion for art (not to mention the way it inspires them) was wonderful and after finishing the story I had to look up every single piece mentioned in it.

The Red is dark, passionate, unique, honest, and interesting. Ms. Reisz doesn’t hold back and readers should prepare themselves for one hell of an adventure.

FTC Disclosure: I received this book for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Review - Red Dawn by Ann Gimpel
Red Dawn: Darkly Erotic Fantasy - Ann Gimpel,Fiona Jayde

My Thoughts - 3 out of 5 Unicorns - I liked it!!!

***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review, but I do own a copy in the bundled set Paranormally Yours

The cover definitely attracts the eye, but I wish it had more orca in it :)

This is definitely for adults only, and it is novella length at about 80 pages.  This has very steamy scenes involving magic and multiple partners.  This story was also in the Paranormally Yours bundle if you picked up that set.

This is the first time I have read anything by Ann, and I enjoyed it.  Her scenes are very steamy and well written :)  This is also the first time I’ve read a story with whale (Orca) shifters.  Shifters are people (humans) who turn into another form in this instance a whale.  There was some action, and the story idea is very creative, but parts felt very rushed to me with regard to his job and saving the ocean and the bad guy.  Ann’s writing is descriptive and easy to read.  I love the fun lovin’ Nereids that are playful sea nymphs.  I think I need to read more ocean shifter stuff to decide if I really like it or I prefer my shifters on land :)

I’m definitely going to look into more books by Ann especially her Company Store series because it really intrigues me, and they are longer stories :)

I recommend this story to those who enjoy multiple partner shifter stories and want something unique and oceanic :)

Unusual Shifters in Romance! Worth Reading and Not Just Laughing About.
Troll-y Yours - Sheri Fredricks
Bunny and the Bear - Eve Langlais
Stone Guardian - Danielle Monsch
Eternal Craving - Nina Bangs
Size Matters - Stephanie Julian
Storm's Heart - Thea Harrison
Replicant - Dani Worth
The Starlander Frontier: Starlander's Myth - Melisse Aires
Passionate Ink - Jan Springer
Hedging His Bets - Celia Kyle,Mina Carter

One of the reasons I like weres or shifters in romance is because animal that the person can turn into adds cultural and character traits to the love story that might not otherwise be there.

There is a theory that all shifters should be predators but I am not so sure.  I really want Nalini Singh to come through with the non predators Changelings in the Psy/Changeling Series as Romantic Leads.

Here are some great unusual shifters that are not wolves, big cats, snakes, birds of prey, dragons, nor my beloved bears. These are in no particular order.
