Forever Hunted - Carolina Montague Forever Hunted - Carolina Montague

Kim had been murdered twenty hours ago. Now Kim was on the run from her killers. If they caught her this time and killed her she wouldn’t be coming back. Rakesh was her love, and miracle. Rakesh scanned every bit of news  and Kim asked if there was  news of the virus. Rakesh said nothing that tells him how more than ten thousand died in one night. He said this virus was different from any seen before. According to some information Rakesh’s contact had sent him the injection Kim had been given by Professor Singh was a blend of virus and complex substances for the elderly. That is why it took longer to kill the initial victims. Kim was no longer human she was a vampire. Kim asked if there was anything they could do, anything that will stop the virus.? Rakesh  said first they had to survive. First they were going to Arizona as rakesh had contacts there, places they could stay. Then Rakesh added there was some things he had to tell her before they landed. He told Kim- the one -Kronos- who is chasing them knows  Rakesh. They had been like brothers. This made their escape more  difficult. There were some place the man didn’t know about. Also they couldn’t contact Sean- Rakesh;s contact- until they had better equipment. He added all of the Born-Ones will be inclined to turn on her because he made Kim like him. That held a death sentence. Rakesh told Kim she would have to get used to her new senses. Kim was in the very first stages of Transformation. Rakesh promised it would get easier. When Kim woke from the nightmare of her death, she had fed from Rakesh. Kim had only been a vampire for a couple hours now. Kim had been a olympic gymnast. Born Ones were committed to protecting humans. But they protected their own first. Rakesh told him that his family was trying to find a cure to battle the virus. Because of Kronos Lim and Rakesh had been branded traitors.

I couldn’t really connect with the characters of this book. I am not sure why but it just did not keep my attention It seemed to drag for me. I am sure others will love this book, it just wasn’t for me

REVIEW BY HELEN - Life's Forever Changed (The Show Me Series: The Prequel) by Anne Stone
Life's Forever Changed - Anne Stone
After Alejandro Alvarez’s best friend dies of kidney disease while in high school, Alejandro vows to change his life. Determined to help others suffering from his friend’s illness, he rejects joining his father’s pediatrics practice and instead trains as a nephrologist and a transplant surgeon. Fourteen years later, devotion to his career has rewarded him with a reputation as an excellent surgeon, but success has left him alone, with no family that he can call his own.

Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse Tammy Johansen is on duty when an infant must undergo a life-saving transplant. Working closely with famed surgeon Dr. Alejandro Alvarez, she sees the sensitive, lonely man beneath his professional exterior and wonders can such a man be interested in someone like her?

As they battle to save the tiny patient, Alejandro struggles with the emptiness within himself until the lovely and compassionate nurse at his side catches his attention. In that moment, one look at Tammy forever changes his life.

Life’s Forever Changed is the Prequel to Anne Stone’s The Show Me series.

Game On (Hometown Players) - Victoria Denault

This book in #6 in the Hometown Players series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader understanding, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this outstanding series in order.

Alex is known for being the party boy.  He is tired of the routine, and wanting something more.  He finally meets someone worth waiting for.

Brie is not impressed with Alex when she meets him.  He comes across as a dumb jock.  When they meet again, she is shocked he has found her and wonders how and why?

This was a fast paced whirl of feelings.  I love the banter between these characters.  The cameos made by earlier beloved characters made it all the more fun.  This series is always a go to read and worth every turn of the page!!  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Fate leads three people together to find their happiness.
Everything We Need (Finding Forever Book 4) - Rebecca Raine
I enjoyed this story. All three main characters have some pretty heavy pasts which color their visions of the world and their relationships. Jeremy uses smiles to cover up his pain, Brady uses isolation, and Trina uses logic or instinct. Their attraction is almost instantaneous and deep, and I fell right along with them. My heart got involved as they shared pain and dreams, and I shed some tears when it looked dim. I recommend this story.

Forever My Love - Heather Graham Pozzessere

I haven't read any of the author's contemporaries and am just not feeling the urge to hunt down any more.

It's a second chance romance brought about by a friend of the H's being a dirty cop and targeting people he thought might know something.

Issues I had - H was an overbearing asshole, h all but fell over with her legs in the air. That pretty much sums it up.

They had divorced 3 years previous after a) losing a child to SIDS and b) her having a bad miscarriage. Essentially he decided he'd been too rough w/sex so stopped touching her so after a year of this, she filed for divorce.

They never really talked it over; just his demanding she sleep with him, her complying irritably, etc.

Ends with an epilogue where she's 5 months pregnant, they'd remarried, and the Dr had mailed results back of the sex of said kid. Seeing as how the book was released in 1990, and my "helpful" OB's technician had just blurted out that my firstborn was a boy while doing an ultrasound 2 years previous...
