Ignite Me (Shatter Me) by Mafi, Tahereh(December 30, 2014) Paperback - Tahereh Mafi

Warner is the only reason why this book got a high rating. He was the only reason why I remotely liked this series. In this book they were gearing up & training for this huge fight against Warner & Adams father & the Reestablishment was so anticlimactic. I Mean this whole book was about this war they needed to fight & get ready for & it wasn't even a war. When I was younger, I had fights with my sister that were better than this. The last 25% of this book felt so rushed. Almost like the author didn't know how to end it. And holy crap, Juliette finally made a decision between Adam & Warner. Thank god she chose Warner. Adam was the worst in this book. I'm one of the very few who didn't love this series. I barely liked it. I would read a book on Kenji though. He was funny as hell.

Ignite Me
Ignite Me - Tahereh Mafi

This was a reread.

A solid conclusion  to the Shatter Me trilogy. I remember  being so excited when this book came out- who would Juliette choose- Warner or Adam?  I was definitely  a Warner fan.

I'd forgotten what a great character  Kenji  is!

I thought the final battle was a little quick, a LOT of time was spent with the love triangle arguing with each other, so I took away a star.

Overall though, this YA Trilogy is one of my favorites.

Clockwork Princess - Cassandra Clare
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz - L. Frank Baum
Contamination (Feast of Weeds) (Volume 2) - Jamie Thornton
Glass Sword (Red Queen) - Victoria Aveyard
Rippler - Cidney Swanson
Ignite Me - Tahereh Mafi

This month was not a bad reading month, considering all I had to do I'm pretty pleased with myself. I managed to complete 7 novels. I participated in March Take Control of Your TBR Pile. I was so much fun and that's great cause I managed to read some books I've had on my shelf for a long time.

What I read:

- Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare 4/5

- Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare 5/5

- the Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum 4/5

- Contamination by Jamie Thornton 4/5

- Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard 3/5

- Rippler by Cidney Swanson 2/5

- Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi 5/5

All my reviews are on this blog and/or my Goodreads page if you want to read my thoughts on these books :)

What I watched:

Ok, I'm still watching Degrassi. I finished season 7 and watched seasons 8,9 and 10. I don't like it as much as the first seasons cause I really liked the original characters and they all left the show at this point. Still, it's a lot of fun to watch this show and to relax after a long day. I'm also still watching Shadowhunters, I think there are one or two episodes left in the season, I'm not sure. I'm still hesitant about this show, it is not bad but I feel like they are trying to much to put some humor in it. It's also weird to see the plot so different from the books, I mean it's an adaptation, I'm not saying it should be the same but some things are just too weird. Season 3 of Faking It also started and I watched the first two episodes. This show is really cool, funny and stupid. I like it!

What have you read in March? What was your favorite read of the month?

Thanks for reading,

Line.

#3 Shatter Me

I am utterly speechless. When I started this series, I was not fond of the plot or the characters, I was a bit confused and I did not like it that much. Still, I wanted to continue on. The second book was way better. And this one was absolutely amazing.

First of all, I think we all agree to say that this cover is stunning. There are so many things to say about this book. Kenji is still so funny and so cool. Juliette begins to be more interesting, she finally start to understand what she wants and that is a good thing. Sometimes I forget that these characters are so young and this is so normal for them to doubt about who they are and what they believe in. They are only teenagers. Even if the world they live in makes them grow up way faster than they should. It's another great thing about this book, it is so realistic (if you don't pay attention to the fact that some of them are like supeheroes and can turn invisible or break walls). We got to see a new side of Adam and I liked that. And then there is Warner. It's amazing how I ended book two thinking he was a complete jackass. And then, this absolutely great author managed to make you like him, to make him seem vulnerable when you don't expect it. Well done!

Tahereh Mafi's writing still amazes me and I absolutely love the way she writes. I wanted to mark quotes from the book, I started to stick a few Post-it on pages, then I realized it was impossible because there were so many quotes worth remembering. I got shivers while reading this book, I felt sad, happy, hopeful, scared, annoyed, envious... This is when you see that a book was really well done. Not because it has won prizes. Not because many people have read it. But because it made you feel something. And this book definetely made me feel a lot of different things. Thank you for that!

(again, it's just a bunch of stuff I needed to say. I really should start to structure my reviews)

Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
Ignite Me - Tahereh Mafi

Ignite me is the last book in the Shatter Me trilogy.  I had read the first two in 2015 and I thought they were pretty good.  They weren't blow me away amazing, but I did enjoy them.  I liked the premise of the story and I loved the characters, especially Kenji and Warner.  I thought that Tahereh Mafi made Juliette too strong and too invincible.  It was very unrealistic for her to be extremely strong when she spent almost a year in confinement.

If you know anything about this trilogy you know that there is a love triangle.  I will not say who Juliette ended up with but I am very pleased with the choice.  The man she choose is perfect for her.  I have many reasons for loving them together, but I don't want to say it because I'm scared it will spoil the book for you.  I give this book a 4/5 stars and I recommend this trilogy to everyone.
