Book Review for Primal Need by Piper Davenport
Primal Need (Primal Howlers MC Book 2) Kindle Edition - Piper Davenport

First off let us start off my saying that we love the cover and we really loved this current story.

This story was fun and intriguing and had a cast of amazing characters that we could not help but love them all.Once we started reading we were engrossed in the story to the very end and we could not put it down.

Wyatt we loved her from the onset of the story with her quick whit and vibrant personality which was a tell it like it is kind of girl and she was also a sexy and strong character even though she likes to play things safe but, that all changed the minute an arrogant biker decided to woo her.

Sundance Hum....that man was a whole lot of alpha and crude, arrogant and bit of and a-hole but, we have to say falling for a strong independent women had him toning things down and bit and we could help but love the sexy beast of the man ourselves.

The chemistry between these two was totally hot and sexy and the sex scenes definitely fan worthy."Smokin Hot"

I loved the plot and Wyatt and the way she cared for and love her brother aka Teddy Bear who had disabilities and we love how he captured hearts where ever he went.

Overall a really loved this story as it made us laugh out loud the entire story and had a bit of suspense and betrayals and lets not forget it had a awesome cast of characters and that love was found in the most usual of places and it was a love story that was paved with a lot of bumps in the road and a whole lot of groveling .... lol

We have so say that this story had one of my favorite endings. This story was also one that you were still thinking about days later and when it is still on your mind days later that for me just makes this one fantastic read for us !

Dragon Fire is book three of the Vale of Stars series by Juliette Cross. This novel is hauntingly beautiful. The romance is sweet and builds over time.

It’s been awhile since we’ve had a new book in the Vale of Stars series, but Juliette Cross managed to take us right back to the world of these amazing half human, half dragon beings called Morgons. I love Cross’s Morgans and I get so excited for each new installment that comes out.

Kieran was wounded in Waking the Dragon while protecting and saving Kol’s mate from one of the Larkos dragons. He’s sent off to the a human convent to heal, recuperate, and hide from the Larkos hunting him.

Liana is a Sister at the convent and has been living as a Sister of Saint Portia for six years. She’s adjusted and accepted this life until Kieran comes to the convent. Then all she can think about his him and life outside.

The romance is a nice slow burn. Kieran knows what Liana is to him, but he’s decided that he won’t be the reason she forsakes her vows as a Sister. Their’s more to Liana, her history, and why she’s a Sister. We soon learn her past as events unfold and both, Kieran and Liana’s, futures change.

As the story progress things are drawing closer to war. We’re treated to brutal fight scenes between good and evil, love and hate. The author keeps us on the edge of our seats and entranced up to the last page.

Dragon Fire is full of action and passion. I can’t wait for the next installment.

** Trigger Warning: I wanted to put out their that this novel might have some triggers. We have one chapter near the begging that showcase a scene of rape and abuse. (I cringed while reading.) In this scene it’s The Larkos Army, our bad Morgans, doing what they do; enslaving the week, capturing human women, and working towards the goal of ruling the world.

In this powerful entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling series, Mercy Thompson must face a deadly enemy to defend all she loves...

My name is Mercedes Athena Thompson Hauptman, and I am a car mechanic.

And a coyote shapeshifter.

And the mate of the Alpha of the Columbia Basin werewolf pack.

Even so, none of that would have gotten me into trouble if, a few months ago, I hadn't stood upon a bridge and taken responsibility for the safety of the citizens who lived in our territory. It seemed like the thing to do at the time. It should have only involved hunting down killer goblins, zombie goats, and an occasional troll. Instead, our home was viewed as neutral ground, a place where humans would feel safe to come and treat with the fae.

The reality is that nothing and no one is safe. As generals and politicians face off with the Gray Lords of the fae, a storm is coming and her name is Death.

But we are pack, and we have given our word.

We will die to keep it.

I love the Mercy Thompson series, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the latest release.

Briggs delivers yet again another amazing story in the Mercy Thompson series. She brought an action-packed tale with hate groups, black witches, friends to enemies, lose, and more.

Mercy is facing the consequences of making the Tri-Cities a safe haven. She’s also stuck having to act as liaison between the humans and fae while Adam and The Pack play bodyguards to the humans. She will have to mange many things and make some difficult choices.

We are treated to some new and old characters with The Pack and all our favorite characters come to life in Storm Cursed. We learn more about Sherwood Post. Zee is present as is Uncle Mike and the Goblin King. Even Wulfe pops in.

As always Briggs captured me. The plot is well written and action-packed. I love that we are so far into the series and it’s still going strong with each book feeling fresh. It’s a well crafted story and the author made me cringe, laugh out loud, cry, and gasp.

The Mercy Thompson series continues to grow and get better with each book. Mercy is becoming stronger, The Pack is evolving, and the world continues to build. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Review: The Spider (Elemental Assassin #10) by Jennifer Estep
The Spider - Jennifer Estep

For the first time, the full origin story of Gin Blanco's transformation into the fearsome assassin known as the Spider—book ten in the red-hot Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series.

How did I end up in a career where I always have blood on my hands? Well, let me tell you a story about an assassin who thought she could do no wrong. . . .

Ten years ago. A blistering hot August night. I remember like it was yesterday. The night I, Gin Blanco, truly became the Spider. Killing people is what I do best, especially now that I’ve honed my Ice and Stone magic. But back then, I had yet to learn one very important rule: arrogance will get you, every single time.

This particular job seemed simple: murder a crooked building contractor with ties to ruthless Fire elemental Mab Monroe. My mentor, Fletcher Lane, had some misgivings, but I was certain that I had the situation under control . . . right up until I exposed my weaknesses to a merciless opponent who exploited every single one of them. There’s a reason assassins aren’t supposed to feel anything. Luckily, a knife to the heart can fix that problem, especially when I’m the one wielding it. . . .

The Spider is book ten in the Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep.

This is by far one of my favorite series. Each and every installment gives me something new to fall in love with. Estep just keeps delivering on each and every installment!

Now, you can read this novel without every reading any of the other books in the series. The Spider takes the reader back 10-years to the begging. It’s the start of Gin’s career as the assassin known as the Spider.

I loved seeing Gin interact with Fletcher. Throughout this series we’ve seen flashbacks for Fletcher, but this time we get to have him front and center in her life.

The author does throw in many little easter eggs; events and characters that we meet and see throughout the Elemental Assassin series that fans will just die with excitement and love. I loved that we get to see so many characters from the past. It was so fun to see their path’s cross; a meet here, a moment their, but at the time you don’t know what life has in store for them and how their paths will cross again later in life.

The plot for was novel is suspenseful. The whole story is set 10-years in the past ending with the present day. Gin pretty much makes all the mistakes and does all the things Fletcher taught her not to ignore on her very first job. So, by the end of this novel she has the much-needed closure on all those events that took place back then.

The Spider was an outstanding novel. I don’t know where the author is going to go next, but I’m looking forward to seeing where things go from here.
