Book Review - Over the River and Through the Woods by Mindful Writers Retreat Series
Over the River and Through the Woods - Amy Morley,Hilary Hauck,Kimberly Kurth Gray,Michele Savaunah Zirkle,Janet McClintock,Abigail Drake,Kathleen Shoop,Ramona DeFelice Long,Demi Stevens

A great mixture of thought provoking stories from different authors who share their take on various aspects of life/fiction at this special time of year. Some will make you smile, some will tug at your heart, and some will give you that warm magical Christmas feeling. The perfect book to just sit back and enjoy, it's a time for reflection, giving second chances, and a reminder to grab life with both hands.

There's something for everyone inside this feast of short stories, poem and even a recipe. Each reader will pick their own favorite reads and it's a great introduction to authors you have not yet encountered. There are so many stories and authors I could mention, I particularly enjoyed Once Upon a Life Well Spent by Hilary Hauck, it was such a cute traditional story but from a different perspective. The Christmas Tree by Kathleen Shoop was a really heartwarming tale and thanks to author Abigail Drake I will never think of Christmas elves and reindeers in the same light, hilarious!!

Definitely a book to enjoy as you get all cozy in the run up to Christmas.

Book Tour / Review: Over the River and Though the Woods
Over the River and Through the Woods - Amy Morley,Hilary Hauck,Kimberly Kurth Gray,Michele Savaunah Zirkle,Janet McClintock,Abigail Drake,Kathleen Shoop,Ramona DeFelice Long,Demi Stevens

Over the River and Through the Woods reminds me of the song or even poem that you sing on your way to Grandma's when you are going their to eat at Thanksgiving. If this Title did not remind you of that I do not know why.

The Title did this and I could not forget the song or poem that pops into my mind when it did. I would love to have download the one I found that sing the complete song of this title but it seem to be hard. There seem to be different versions of this song.

This book has different stories in it. They are all short and sweet. I loved each story. There seem to be poem and a recipe in the book. I really did enjoy each story that was written and chosen for this book. There was not one that I did not like. Each author show their talent and or story.

The way this is set up I enjoyed it. I was able to read multiple stories in one night. I really like that each story was short or told about their memories on Christmas memories. Each story was heartfelt and loving.

Over the River and Through the Woods - Clifford D. Simak walking mp3 - whereby my walking is over the streams and through the woods, and damn it, I don't seem to meet a little friend or leave planet earth except vicariously through my headphones.Linked short stories and I liked this :a:lot: So now, is it Simak or Bradbury; Bradbury or Simak that is tops in this Readble Sci Fi category.
