Swing
Boyfriend Material - Alexis Hall

Luc is working for a charity who does not appreciate seeing his mistakes in the gossip rags.  While he does try his best, his semi-famous father is trying to make a comeback that is putting him in the sort of spotlight.  His friends and co-workers think he should try to date someone respectable and fix his good name.

Oliver has always been interested in Luc.  This chance to get to know him, and play his significant other is not one he could pass up.  Knowing it won't be easy they agree and get on with their lives.  Then the hard part happens......

I liked that this story told the truth.  Each characters felt real, open, dark, and rich at the same time.  I also loved the friendships, and I cringed at the families who made them hurt.  I also really liked the banter and sexy heat.  I give this read a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Love Is Contagious: A Charity Anthology by J. Saman

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Actions speak louder than words. Love is Contagious gets the ball rolling when it comes to sharing the love. From sassy to sensitive, sexy to heartwarming this anthology is an introduction to an emotion that is often taken for granted. With fresh eyes, an open heart and an open mind this group of authors prove that one act of kindness can leave it's mark on the world by sharing the love we can move mountains.

The 2020 LIFT for Autism Auction is now open!

LIFT 4 Autism Auction!

Lift Live BLOGGERS

Bidding is open NOW!

charityauction.bid/Lift4Autism2020

Since 2015, LIFT 4 Autism has raised approximately $140,000 to benefit ASD families. All proceeds go to non-profit organizations serving the autism community. Now more than ever, we as a global community are uniting, even as we stay apart to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. Auction organizers authors Ginger Scott and Kennedy Ryan, along with Kulture City, this year’s charitable partner, wanted to respond to the real needs of autism families during this incredibly challenging time. Kulture City will direct proceeds from the 2020 auction to a scholarship program for autism families struggling during COVID-19.

The online auction features signed paperbacks, hardcovers, full series sets, out-of-print covers, foreign editions, personal one-on-one Skype calls with some of your favorites . . . and MORE, all donated by authors, publishers, bloggers, readers. Just people who wanted to be a part of something to help autism families. In the past, some of our highest bidding items were tickets to sold-out author signings and in-demand book events. Of course, with social distancing, those have all been cancelled. To possibly compensate, several amazing authors, narrators and publishing professionals are auctioning off virtual chats! We’re hoping many readers will be enticed to bid on virtual chats with authors like LJ Shen, Tarryn Fisher, Beverly Jenkins, and Kristen Ashley, to name a few. To chat with all-star narrators like Zachary Webber, Shane East, Erin Mallon and more. Not to mention critiques and video chats with agents and editors. These are just a few items up for bid. We are incredibly grateful for every single item donated.

You can bid here NOW: charityauction.bid/Lift4Autism2020

Bidding closes Friday, May 1 at 5pm EST.

And if you don’t win your bid or want to bid, you can STILL be involved!

  1. Make a tax-deductible “no amount is too big or too small” donation to our Kulture City Fund: http://bit.ly/LIFT202Give

Dreamtime Dragons Anthology
Dreamtime Dragons - Nils Visser

by Nils Visser et al

This is an outstanding collection of stories, all having to do with dragons in some way. The stories are from twelve different authors so styles vary, but there wasn't a dud in the bunch. One by the editor was written in present tense, but it was actually done well which is rare.

I've read a few of the authors before so I knew I could expect above average quality for at least some, but I was pleasantly surprised overall. I've added A,J. Noon to my favorite author list and sent for samples of his other work. I do like a bit of humor in my Fantasy!

The editing was also above average, even for big publisher books. I counted four minor typos for the whole book, plus two in the author bio section. I bet they didn't check there!

It was an enjoyable collection and included sample chapters from some of the authors' other books as well, but they were self-contained segments that didn't leave me wondering what was going on.

It's also good knowing that any money generated from the project is going to a ferret rescue center. So a good read and something to help animals. Win-win! And the cover art is amazing!
