Silver Town Wolf #9, I love this series and I love the MacTire sisters this one was good, not my favorite but not horrible either. It had plenty of intrigue, a little bit of angst, just enough Holiday spirit and lots of romance. Meghan can see and communicate with ghosts the resident ghost at the inn has become extra emotional this holiday season. She misses her beau and asks Meghan if she can look into finding him, as both were shifter there is a good chance he might still be alive. Meghan and the sheriff, Peter, have been dating for about a year and with a mating inevitably in their future they both decide to come clean about secrets they have been keeping. Unfortunately Meghan's past comes out before she gets the chance to tell Peter when her ex-boyfriend shows up out of the blue with news. Peter takes it in stride because his secret is just as big. When Meghan's secret somehow connects to the inn's ghost, the town's biggest tragedy and Peter's past everything seems almost to much to handle especially since Peter puts Meghan and her sisters under 24/7 protection.
Overall it was a good read. There was a bit more sex in it than I typically like these days, but that's me. The holiday aspect of the book was nice with the full victorian costume caroling, the gingerbread house competition, and the snow sculpture competition and the pack Christmas party and gift exchange. I like Terry Spear's writing the intrigue is nicely done with how everything ties together and a very good ending.
Ellie told one of her triplet sisters Laurel that she thought something was wrong with her. Ellie and her sisters owned a Victorian inn Ellie could see and communicate with ghosts. Her other triplet sister was Meghan. Ellie and her sisters were werewolf shifters. Her sister Meghan had made sure the wolf door in the cellar of the inn worked. The inn had a ghost named Chrissy she had been a maid who had died at the inn. Ellie couldn’t seem to reach her and that was why she thought something was wrong with her. Laurel was the oldest and always in charge. Meghan had a heightened ability to locate ghosts like Ellie did. They all lived in Silver Town which was wolf ran. Ellie always wanted to help spirits find their resting place. The inn was booked solid for several months coming up. The first time Ellie saw a ghost she was five. Then a new ghost was at the inn she was Matilda Ellie was dating Brett and it was his great aunt Matilda at the inn. Ellie decided to try to connect with Matilda on her own. Brett had brought his family’s grand piano to the inn and Matilda had been the owner as well as taught piano. Ellie then decided that Matilda had not died naturally as was believed. Rhett and Ellie had erotic dreams about each other they decided to see if they had dream mated that had happened to a couple wolves before. Brett had jokingly suggested that she date other wolves to see if Brett was her mate or if she could dream about other wolves and that is what Ellie did and Brett didn’t like it at all even thought it was his fault.
I loved this story. I loved how close the sisters were and how close Brett and his brothers as well as cousins were. I loved everything about this story. It kept me interested from the first page until the last page. It had different aspects of the paranormal with the wolf shifters as well as ghosts and I loved that. Plus this was a bit of a mystery aspect to it also and that was great. This is one of my new favorites. I loved all the characters and all the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.

Alpha Wolf Need Not Apply is book nineteen in the Heart of the Wolf series by Terry Spears. This story takes us back to Silvertown and the Silver Pack Wolves that live their as well as introducing us to a new pack.
Heart of the Wolf is one of my favorite series to read and re-visit. The best thing is each book can stand-a-lone, so you can just pick one up and go. They are all sweet romances with a little suspense or mystery added in. The wolves are all different in personality, color, and packs and each couple brings something new and entertaining of their own to the story.
Eric Silver, the diligent park ranger is determined to hunt down the shifters planting cannabis in his forest.
Pepper Grayling, leader of her pack is determined to not let an Alpha male wolf take over her territory and pack.
I liked Pepper as an Alpha who could run her pack and stand up for herself. I also liked Eric. Both these two have a past and neither are looking for new mates, but one chance meeting changes things and a sweet slow burning courtship begins. What I loved the most is Eric. He maybe an Alpha, but he isn’t afraid to step back and let Pepper lead. We are also treated to a little action. For fans of this series you might enjoy how Ms. Spear weaves many past characters back into Eric and Pepper’s story.
The one thing I didn’t like was Pepper’s final reversal on her feelings. This change of heart was so sudden. It just seemed out of place, especially with how slow the courtship/romance was blooming.
As with all series, some books are better than others and Alpha Wolf Need Not Apply is one I would recommend trying out. It was a delightful addition to this series.
